If you are ever visiting the redwood forests in northern California, stay at this great historic inn in Requa, which is a few miles south of Crescent City. The main floor has a huge and very comfortable sitting area overlooking the Klamath River and filled with books and historical items and information on the area. We had a spacious and...

This place is amazing! Comfortable and welcoming, it has all the charm and grace that took 100 years to acquire. It's definitely NOT a bed-in-a-box corporate place. Jan, the owner, is gracious and a wonderful hostess, the staff are welcoming and helpful. The food is FANTASTIC and we loved the family style seating. Got to get to know others and...

Like stepping back in time! Beautifully decorated rooms with antiques and calming colors. A delicious breakfast is available on site, as well as dinner on certain evenings. The staff is very helpful. The setting on the Klamath River is peaceful. A good place to unwind.

We had the opportunity to stay here on a recent trip to northern California. I had tried to select as many different "modes" of over-night experiences, and this looked interesting. I'm so glad we took the chance to try something a little out-of-the-ordinary! This is an historic building high on a bluff overlooking a lake. Our rooms were straight out...

We stayed at the Requa Inn for 5 nights in March. The first night was in a room in the inn itself and the other four were in the cottage up the road. The inn s very cozy and quiet when we were there in the rainy season. It is most suitable to adults because the property has a lot...

We stayed for one night while visiting the redwood forest and could have enjoyed another night but had to get back home. So nicely restored, warm helpful staff, comfortable bed, great linens and a breakfast to die for. Would highly recommend.

Requa Inn was the best historic hotel of all where I have stayed. The remodeling of the rooms whichever architect did it deserves a five star or more. It was just top notch work. Having a chance to have a tour of the rooms and stay in one of the rooms and enjoy its beauty was the highlight of our...

Thank you for your kind review- we do value the Inn and are so pleased when our guests can feel the love that we put into each touch. With a 102 year old building- it is a wonderful labor of love that we enjoy. Jenna is the gal at the front desk and I appreciate the fact that she made...

We travel a lot and have done for over 30 years now... and never have we received no hospitality from this type of accommodation. We arrived around 630pm and the place was locked up, no one home, sign indicated they would return at 8am . It was dark and raining and luckily my husband found an unlocked upstairs door. printed...

My goodness - my deepest apologies - I had said the same thing about the "missing guests". We do keep the Inn locked during the Winter months - your reservation was our only guests - I did not hear the door bell ring -and in the morning when I went to make breakfast there was no car in the parking...

We were disappointed in our stay at this property. But first, the staff were wonderful and helpful. The breakfast was tasty, individually cooked and reasonably priced (offset by the $10 breakfast coupon.) The location is convenient. Parking is free. The disappointment stems from the fact that the pictures from the website fail to capture just how dated this building is...

I'm a fan of historic restored hotels, and the Requa Inn is a delightful example of how to do it right. The slightly unlevel floors, the dark wood paneling, the guitar beside the fireplace, and the top-notch comfortable bed all combine to exude the perfect ambiance. A wonderful place to relax and spend the night.
