On a recent two week trip from Portland to San Francisco we stayed one night at the Historic Requa Inn. We immediately wished we had arranged our trip differently so we could stay longer. Everything about the Inn was as it should be and the...More
I don't write reviews very often these days, but my experience at this property deserves a note.
The Historic Requa Inn was suggested by the National Park Service for visitors to Redwoods Nat'l Park. Additionally, it had achieved stellar reviews here on Trip Advisor. I...More
We stayed here for a few nights while visiting the Redwoods National and State Parks. The parks themselves are split into a southern and northern portions and Requa Inn in Klamath is right in the middle. It's about 20 minutes from Crescent City.

Friendly staff, quaint rooms, cozy family room with fireplace and river view. Upon check in, was told "This is your home. Make yourself at home."
A large number of books available for a quick read by the fireplace with your beverage of choice.

There is both a lighthouse and beach in Crescent City which is about a 20 minute drive north of Requa but I did not see either near the hotel. You could call or email the hotel and find out if there any any closer.

There are a few other options. A small local place is Woodland Villa Market. We had a good meal there. Also there is a restaurant beside the casino, Ibelieve is called Abalone. We loved the breakfasts at the Historic Rogue Inn but felt dinner options in the area were limited. Crescent City is another option. I hope this helps.
