This is the sort of place where you don't feel entirely comfortable getting in the sheets. The facilities are old, tired, badly maintained - and for $115 / night there is no breakfast of any kind. Any place would be better.

We stayed one night as we were on a driving holiday. Lone Pine is a useful stop along the way - a one street town with plenty of motels available. Our room was clean and functional. Does what it says on the tin. McDonalds is nearby for quick breakfast in the morning.

The motel was dirty. The pool wasn't closed for the season but was green with algae. The first room we had had a water leak in the bathroom which the front desk apparently knew about and assumed housekeeping had cleaned up. The comforters had stains. The chair in the room had stains and holes. The curtains had holes. The shower...

This is an update on our annual base camp for the Lone Pine Film Festival, held each October. We always stay here because of the convenient location at the southern edge of town, across the street from the film museum and high school movie screening venue. This year, long time owner Ish was out of town but had a nice...

Actually, maybe a bit above average, as it was clean and I have no complaints except we saw that it had a gas grill at the little pool, and had bought some nice steaks, but it turned out that the grill didn't work, so we had to grill them after the 4-hour drive home a couple of days later. Everything...

We just pulled up and found this one which was cheapest! The room was clean. Fridge and microwave in the room. Right in the centre. Restaurants and pubs near by. Little pool here too. And parking. I'd stay here again.

We stayed here at the last minute the week before July 4th and perhaps that was why we paid a lot. It was hot when we went in the room as the air had not been on, the A/C was small and it took a good while to cool down. Might be worth the electricity in the summer to turn...

We enjoyed our visit to the Trails Motel. We stayed two days. The staff was cordial, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. What more could you want? Well breakfast would have been nice! We walked to McDonalds. We were placed in a newly renovated "handicap" room, which had a wonderful HUGE shower stall. It had no threshold...

My husband and I decided to go to Death Valley on a last minute trip, and The Trails hotel was one of the few that had rooms left. It was clean, the staff was friendly, and it was super quiet! We got a great night's sleep too. I would definitely recommend.

I stayed here for a night on my way from Death Valley to Yosemite. It was comfortable and clean but basic with slightly outdated decor. It is on the main road, so easy to find. I would recommend it for a night's stay. Free wifi is definitely a bonus.
