This place gets the job done. Cheap price, good location, had its own pool, cleaning service, and workout room / pastries available. Stayed here for about 3 months. The best thing about this place is location and price. There used to be weekly yoga in the park alongside. Also, pick-up soccer games are regular. Worth a stay of you are... More

We stayed at Beach Plaza during a weekend along the pacific coast from San Diego (where we spent all the summer) to Los Angeles. There were 4 of us and we needed a place to stay one night. We chose the Beach Plaza Hotel only because we used to watch the OC series and we knew they had shot there... More

Since sometime in October the place has been closed. It never really never qualified as a hotel in every sense of the word. The quality of everything has gone down, down, down, down for the last 10 years. Good riddence!!!!!! I hear it will be torn down & replaced.

My Husband was looking for a place on the beach and thought he had found a hidden gem. Over all the place isn't terrible. They have tried to update. But this place in the end is a bear bones place. Our biggest disappointment was that there was NO AIR CONDITIONING! We did not feel comfortable leaving the windows wide open!... More

Dirty sticky carpet. Hair on the bathroom floor. Bugs in the tub! No AC. Lumpy pillows and a sunken bed. I ended up using a rolled towel as a pillow as it was more comfortable. Plus the staff was rude!!!

So we went to Long Beach because my daughter was participating in a Dance Festival. It was sort of a last minute trip so rooms were booked & we had a hard time finding a hotel without spending too much. I kept reading the reviews for The Beach Plaza Hotel. It had very mixed reviews by a majority of them... More

Passing through and this was the cheapest. Waaaaaaaaayyyyy too expensive for what you get. Aside from the great view and lovely staff there ain't much else going for it. It's a pretty dodgy area and you have to drive to get food as food outlets are a fair walk away and didn't feel safe walking at night. Walls are thin... More

We rented a two bedroom suite with living Room, kitchen and one bath for a family vacation. One bedroom had a king bed and the other had two queen size beds. Although there is no air conditioning, we were quite comfortable with the cool breeze coming off the ocean and the ceiling fans in each room. Parking is free in... More

Like most of the other reviewers the location really made the trip. Upon arrival, our room had dishes that were left dirty in the sink and hair in the bathroom. Thankfully because I had already read some reviews about the thinness of the walls I brought a sound machine from home which helped immensely. Without that I would have gotten... More

“THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING IN ANY OF THE ROOMS. Do not stay in a room by the pool. You will hear noise from every other room around the pool because their window will be open trying to stay cool.”
