Overall good but typical JW. Executive lounge did a great job w breakfast and evening appetizers Room was nice, only issue was the Panasonic TV and a remote control with about a 12 inch range. Staff was helpful, but not overbearing. Did not try the Wolfgang Puck restaurant in the hotel but nice to have that option

I have been very impressed with this hotel for overnight stay and conference services. I believe it has been here just a few years and everything still appears brand new. The staff have been very attentive. However, the overnight parking seems pricy at $42 a night but o realize this is downtown LA. It does take a day to get...

Modern and upscale by anyone standards. The JW Marriott in downtown LA is the place to stay. Great service and a friendly staff always there to greet you. They have a very nice rooftop pool and are across the street from LA Live.

Stayed last Thursday and Friday nights at the hotel. A good location if you are attending an even at the Staples Center or L A Convention Center and like crowds, noise, lots of glitzy lights and an atmosphere similar to Las Vegas. Hotel staff was very nice and accomodating. The rooms were nicely furnished and decorated. The downside was the room...

I recently stayed at this hotel for a work meeting. This place is hands down one of the best hotels in LA! The only issue is the horrible valet lot in the basement, it has extreamly toxic exhaust fumes so be prepared.

I've stayed in Marriott Hotels in California but I must say this is the very best one, so far. The desk staff were friendly and efficient. My room was beautifully decorated and immaculate with a view of the swimming pool. I like that they give you biscotti cookie to have with your coffee or tea in your room :-). The...

This is probably one of the best hotels around downtown LA, you have so many activities going on around this hotel, LA Live, Staple Center, close to Hollywood, so many night clubs and the views you get to see everyday is AMAZING. The hotel is very conducive, neat, the steak is Omgush breathtaking and to crown it all the hotel...

We enjoyed our stylish modern room. We had a great city lights view and it was very quiet. Downstairs there is open concept dining area offering three restaurants, coffee bar, cocktail bar, all day dining there was probably more but we snuggled into over-sized chairs and had 'happy hour'. Walking distance to so many things and bustling with people enjoying...

Really nice place. Hadn't been to DT LA in over 10 years. The location is great for the explosion of restaurants and bars new to the area. The room was comfy, bathroom was super clean and new, didn't have a bad experience with anyone who worked there. The bar/restaurant (not in the lobby, but just off) is great. Great place.

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
