Great place if you want to hide a little and relax a lot! Historically significant to the area as well. Very attentive staff and nice breakfast. The historic charm of original decor and furnishings far out weighs the slightly dated appearance. Loved it here!

Great little friendly B&B to stay and explore lively Venice. Historic home beautifully restored. great breakfast in the morning to start your day. Excellent restaurants within a block. Very near the beach and close to everything. Nice walk to Santa Monica on the beach path.

We spent a delightful evening at the Venice Beach House where accommodations were perfect and the attentive assistance provided by Selene and Joseph made us feel like long time guests though we were first time visitors. The house is pure SoCal with each room having its own distinctive warmth and charm. Breakfast was excellent and we are already plotting for...

I tagged a few days on to the end of a business trip and headed to the beach. I found this little gem a few metres from the beach and it was perfect. A warm friendly welcome, immaculately clean and super comfortable. It's an excellent base to explore and using uber cabs got me around anywhere for a few dollars!...

It's an absolute disgrace to call the room "Tramps Quarters" a double room! At best it's a small single... and the charges should reflect that!! We are touring the states for 8 weeks and this our worst accommodation and first bad review we have left! There is JUST sufficient room to walk round the bed, there is only one drawer...

Lovely quiet location, large, clean and comfortable room - shared bathroom as already aware. Lovely little balcony off the room. Would have preferred thicker curtains and also curtains that somewhere near met together!! Only a problem as our room was over looked by 2 other rooms. Comfortable, air con but either a freely available ice machine or small chiller in...

This is a lovely place. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The rooms are simple and elegant. The beach is right down the alley. I would recommend two things. First, it would be nice if management would provide bathrobes for those guests who have to share a bathroom. It can be awkward. Also, it would...

Super close to the boardwalk and plenty of fun things to do walking distance. Definitely not a place if your trying to have late nights but a beautiful cozy place. Shared bathrooms, and the breakfast where the only disappointments.

The Venice Beach House epitomizes casual convenience. Great room, sander down to breakfast to enjoy banana bread, eggs, coffee. Finish your coffee outside on a lounge before walking to the beach. Prime location and helpful staff.

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
