I can't even believe how these reviews are all over the place. This place is great! I chose this hotel because of the location, and it didn't have the craziness around LAX traffic or how confusing it is to even park and find your room. This hotel has it's own little parking lot ($20/night, but you can come and go as you please. No valet, no confusing parking garages, just park. Easy peasy.) The guy at the front desk seemed real laid back as I checked in. They charged for parking on the spot, but they also charged a hefty deposit of $200. I didn't have a problem with that, but someone else might. I'm pretty convinced I was the ONLY person staying in the hotel last night which was nice. Any room that wasn't occupied had their curtains open and I was able to see that each room was a little different, so each was unique in its own way. I loved the bed. The lighting and headboard was kinda romantic. I also liked that there were many cute restaurants within walking distance. Because all the rooms were facing a common courtyard in the middle, which I thought was adorable, that courtyard blocks off all the light that normally would wake you up in the morning. Don't listen to the bad reviews on here. This hotel is CLEAN! Seriously, you can eat a meal on the bath tub floor! So checking out was easy, and just drive out of the parking lot. I'd love to stay here again. It's cute, intimate, and walkable, and clean. So don't listen to the haters on here. I've been in more hotels than the Gideon Bible, so I know a good hotel when I see it!…
Booked a reservation for the king executive suite. It was absolutely filthy. Hair all in the bathroom, stains and holes on bed and towels, looks like bodily fluids on the walls, curtains, and furniture. Asked for a clean room and was offered a room HALF the size at the same rate and that room was also dirty. We booked with a different hotel. Do not waste your time here.
Sky Hotel is a great spot in LA - reasonable rates in a great location that is convenient to all. I stay here often for work and Ben and all of his staff treat me like family- it is a home away from home. Rooms are always clean and comfortable and the staff is very accommodating. I definitely recommend this hotel for business or a great base for a city getaway.
The room we rented was small but it was decorated cute. It was retro and yet modern at the same time. The bed wasn't that comfortable (it was pretty hard with a small mattress topper on it). It was hard to find outlets. The rate was reasonable but then we had to pay $20 for parking which seems high, but maybe that's normal for the area. I'm not sure if it included breakfast or not - we didn't try to find out. We arrived late and left early.
Super cute smaller hotel that’s easily the quietest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Comfy beds and clean rooms-and VERY close to UCLA. Parking is available for $20 a day with in and out privileges in the back of the property (there’s a tight turn getting in and out) but great security system and a quiet neighborhood.
