After an 11hr flight from London to LA and a 2 hr detour from the airport, courtesy of Super Shuttle. I tentatively stepped into my room and was greeted by a clean bathroom, full length mirror, a cute veranda and a room with good day light. Relief doesn't quite cut it. I was ecstatic, it's the little things when you're...

I dont write reviews but I have to write one about the Chateau de Soleil. From the location, people, and management staff I must say that it was first class all the way. It is convenient because it is located a block away from the metro line which means that it is very easy to travel and it is accomodating...

This place can be succinctly summed up in less than six words: awesome, cool, friendly, easy-going, and, above all, welcoming (is that five?). Gary always does his best to make newcomers feel right at home, and the other lodgers are invariably laid-back and helpful towards newcomers....If you're coming to LA for a semi-extended period of time (a few weeks/a few...

I spent a month at the Chateau while doing in internship in LA. I was surprised to find that instead of it being full of travellers as I expected, most of the people live there or stay for a few months, which makes it like a big family! As soon as I arrived and was introduced to the other people...

I have stayed at the Chateau de Soleil off-and-on for about three years. The location is excellent. There are many stores nearby, it is adjacent to the Hollywood Freeway, it is a short walk to the North Hollywood Metro Station, there is a wonderful park a few blocks away, the neighborhood is clean and safe and there are many restaurants...

It was my first time in LA, and the staff was great and ver welcoming. It was a little pricey, but all of LA is. Everyone there is so relaxed and nice. I got a room to share with 2 others of whom I didn't know. Both were very respectful which is important. The workout area was convenient, and its...
