Stayed 3 nights in Little Tokyo, very close to downtown. Larger than average sized room that was much cleaner than average, with a tub. Very quiet as we had a room that did not face 1st st. Notices claimed hallway work on floors 8-11. Good comfortable beds that had some early wear of the pillow tops. Very convenient location. Valet...

We stayed here for 3 nights. We got into LA early in the morning so we decided that we would book the room the night before so that we could have a sleep after our 14hour flight. Initially there was some confusion as we were told we couldn’t check in yet, but once they realised we had a booking from...

We stayed at the Miyako for three nights including New Year's Eve and the activities of New Year's day. Staying in the middle of Little Tokyo was fun. People we met were nice and very polite. Lots of restaurants in the area at very reasonable prices. Convenient to the Gold Line and, for us, easy access to the Rose Parade....

My daughter loves to explore and shop in LA's Little Tokyo. The Miyako Hotel is located right in the heart of Little Tokyo so the location was perfect for us. 1/2 block to the Japanese Village and 1 block to the Japanese American Museum. Hotel is clean and updated. Lots of DirectTV channels on the flat screen TV. Staff was...

I arrived around 8am after flying all nite, no room was available so I stored my bags & met my son for breakfast near USC. Upon returning around noon I was able to check in & proceeded to my room where I found a note saying the hot water wouldn't be available until 3pm (could have told me at front...

Everyone I met that worked here was so lovely. It's a shame they are so hard to get in touch and communicate with online. The rooms are ok, although there are no lights in the ceiling which is a poor start. Everything seemed to work, it was always clean, questions and queries answered timely. I probably won't stay again -...

Good service. Room was spacious, good enough for us as we were only there for a couple of days. Only a good location if you were wanting to do anything within Los Angeles CBD, any other main tourist attractions are not close at all aside from Hollywood. The area is not too safe when walking out a few blocks, especially...

The hotel has a nice feel to it and tastefully decorated. The room was equally the same but better. Bed was comfortable in a nice roomy space. The cafe was open when we needed it to be. Location of hotel in Japanese historical area was a bonus. So many good places to eat. Also, it is located one block from...

This is a charming hotel in the middle of Little Tokyo. the staff is always helpful. They make me feel at home every time I stay here. I would highly recommend the hotel restaurant, Tamon. It is a quiet oasis in a busy city. The Bento Box is the best I have ever tasted in my travels! I will continue...

Great and modern hotel, with excellent multilingual staff, good breakfast buffet and very comfortable rooms. Hotels offer good shuttle service to airport, beach and nearby shopping mall. Old Torrance is nearby for a nice walk. Their fitness facility is super small, better of going out for a run.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
