I stayed here with my wife from 10/29-10/30, and we enjoyed our stay. The staff were very nice and welcoming. I have had better stays at hotels, but I didn't have anything to complain about. Nice stay but nothing stood out for me.

Stayed at the Monterey Inn for only one night, my biggest disappointment was we didn't have more time to enjoy, Lawrence and Dylan were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. As a coeliac it's always a concern what will be available for breakfast but it was no issue and my wife's Cheese Blintzes was top notch. Lawrence suggested a... More

I stayed at the Monterey Inn from September 19-29, 2014. I really enjoyed my stay. I paid a total of $355.00 for ten nights, $35.50 per night, which is really unheard of in the Los Angles area for a private room with everything included. The hotel is not perfect, but it is not as bad as some reviews say. Here... More

The staff members were all very nice and friendly. For sure, I will not forget them. However, the Hotel is the worst I have ever lived in. You have a kitchenette but no kitchen utensil. The temperature in the room is around 80° F / 25° C (it is not a joke) and there is no conditional air in rooms.... More

We really appreciate the start of the review, But we are right next door to the Port Authority Police, FBI, Homeland Security, and in a Industrial area not with a lot of people, no transient action, just as stated 3 blocks from the ocean (world beautiful port and dock for your private enjoyment if you chose, but I'm so sorry... Seriously. Half of the rooms are rented out to people that are released from prison and have no where else to go. Never had problems with them though. Seems as if they are trying hard not to get into trouble. Met 1 guy that just got out for assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer. Staff VERY friendly.... More

B) The hotels reservation system consists of lost emails and mis-placed phone calls between the owner and staff. C) The decor consists of stickly floors and dust both in the hallways/common areas and the... More

“As mentioned above, I was in Room 33. It has a single bed, and doesn't really have a view. I would stay there again if it is available.”
