I have been visiting this hotel every time my BF and I go to LA. It's very close to the strip, Griffith park, and Univeral Studios. Every time I check in they are so friendly and answer any questions you have. This is a great hotel where you are out all day and come to sleep. I will definitly be... More

The Hollywood City Inn is perfectly located to be able to explore Los Angeles. It is in the West Hollywood district and within walking (or driving) distance of a number of the main attractions including Universal Studios, Hollywood, Santa Monica Blvd and more. The rooms in the hotel are big, modern, well decorated, very comfortable and clean. The breakfast is... More

We loved this hotel! We woke up early and did yoga by the pool, Hollywood was like a 15-30 minute walk away we stopped to eat and sight see on the walk. Amazing staff, and beautiful, comfy rooms, can not wait to return!! Thank you!

Parking was good, however it might have been a bit limited if we arrived later. Initial thoughts of the neighborhood was that it was a bit rough but I think that is Hollywood in general. The beds were comfortable and the hotel itself was walking distance from Hollywood Boulevard so not a bad choice. Breakfast was a little lacklustre but... More

Overpriced for what you get compared to other parts of California. Bedding was clean but rooms in need of refurb. Bathroom and room in general didn't feel clean due to it being worn and well used. Good location to Hollywood boulevard although we got taxi back in evening as neighbour hood not great. Personally wouldn't even bother going to Hollywood... More

We spent 4 nights here. We only saw 2 staff members in reception, both friendly but the older gentleman was extremly helpful and always aiming to please. He booked taxi's and tours for us. The hotel itself is compact, and based around an outdoor pool which is very deep at one end and shallow at the other. The rooms where... More

Friendly staff, nice location, rooms were very spacious and clean. Nice swimming pool and the breakfast is fine as well. You have the basics that you need and it is a good way to start your day in LA. The breakfast needs to be taken to your room as there is not a lot of space next to the swimming... More

We stayed ere for two nights. The room was perfect for what we needed, although a little renovations wouldn't go a miss. The breakfast was fine, sweet treats and toast. The hotel was a little pricey and is a good 20-30 minute walk from central Hollywood (we used Lyft) it didn't feel too safe walking around too late at night,... More

It's conveniently placed next to Sunset, Hollywood, and a variety of other attractions in LA. The parking lot is a bit small so make sure you're not driving a huge SUV or something of that nature. The free breakfast is small but nice (cereal, bagels, OJ, coffee). A lot of families tend to frequent this hotel so I would say... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
