Stayed here for 2 nights, 3/11 to 5/11. The good? Free parking, although it is first come first served. It's tandem parking so they will ask you to leave your keys in case they need to move your car. I also had to park on the street on the Friday night as Hollywood Blvd was closed Saturday morning. I parked...

The best thing about this hostel is the central location. There's a 15-20 min. walk to the central part of the Walk of Fame as well as the Griffith hiking trail if you desire to walk up to the Griffith Observatory. The nearest metro station (Hollywood Vine) is about 10 min. away, located on Hollywood Blvd as well. From here...

I was travelling by myself in LA and I really felt at home in this fantastic hostel! Never alone and always with amazing people around. The place is awesome... You really feel the "Californian vibe" that everyone that comes to LA wanna feel. The people who work there are always smiling and open to help you for every kind of...

The location is right on Hollywood Blvd, and also near the highway and metro station. We had trouble finding it from our car when we first arrived as for some reason it's also called 'Vibe Hotel' so lookout for that sign instead of Banana Bungalow! We stayed in a premium private double room with a kitchen, it included not quite...

I was quite impressed as it was my first time in a Hostel. We had a private room but the shared bathrooms I also used were very clean. Good social gatherings and very cheap alcohol and food. Great location, but in LA a car is better to have!

I stayed here with my friend for four nights, it is what I expect from a backpackers, affordable, good location, rickety beds etc. I would stay again if I was in Hollywood. Room had a kitchen and sitting area and the courtyard is good. The place has regular $5 dinners and everyone communes together and it was a bit of...

We spent 2 nights in this affordable hostel. While the Banana Bungalow looks like a fun place to stay, we were seriously disappointed with other, more necessary, amenities. We did like its convenient location - a short 10 min walk from a downtown Hollywood and the fact that each room has its own kitchen area (with a working and spacious...

Just needed a cheap place to stay while I was in town for about 48 hours to go to Universal studios. I chose a woman only deluxe dorm with kitchen. The room is basic and clean, albeit old, and comes with sheet set (no blanket provided) and bath towel. the breakfast was not enough for me just bread for toast...

Spent a quick stay here while on a layover in LA. It was further away from the bustling Hollywood than I feel it is made out on the website. It is definitely within walking distance, though far enough away that I made sure I was home before dark, as I was visiting alone. It was clean enough, and I would...

This place is cool, it's an old motel with drive in car parking! It's worth noting that this place is definitely all about the fun and partying! I stayed here as I am a rollercoaster enthusiast and was heading to the theme parks. This place is right in Hollywood boulevard and close to the subway. First thing to cover off...

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
