I've been traveling to LA for 25 years & have stayed at various hotels -- including the famed Beverly Hills Hotel. The Luxe is simply outstanding. The accommodations are excellent and most rooms are very big. You simply can't beat the location -- on Sunset Blvd. just west of the 405. I am bewildered by one of the reviews, which...

I've stayed in many hotels in the LA area for business - including the London and Four Seasons which I love, but have found a new love in the Luxe at Sunset. The hotel compares with the best on rooms, amenities and most importantly, service. The staff is extremely hospitable and super focused on customer satisfaction. There is a great...

We stayed at the hotel in early June, the room was large and reasonably clean, although a little outdated, bathroom was adequate in size. We had the room near the lobby and the restaurant and as they hold many functions there it was always noisy outside our room window as people congregated outside after functions waiting for their cars. We...

Where do I begin? This is my second and last stay. This is a mediocre older hotel that happens to be in a convenient location. The pretense of luxury is why you book the room, only to find out you've been duped! I travel frequently, and this is the worst. The incompetent front desk staff charged my debit card for...

We recently stayed at this hotel on our two-stop trip to L.A. And Las Vegas. Check in was smooth and the room was ready despite us arriving earlier than check in time. We made the typical Brit mistake of parking the car in the car park ourselves when it's actually valet parking. I didn't really appreciate the $25 daily fee...

First time staying here and won't be the last. Its near Bel Air / UCLA and adjacent to the 405 freeway entrance. From the minute I walked in, I was greeted by the valet and the bell captain walked me to the registration. Impressive open space lobby. Modern furniture and fresh orchids ornate the tables. There are 2 buildings. 1st...

Unfortunately, I don't have many positive things to say about this hotel, especially for the amount you have to pay for it! As friendly as the valet and complimentary shuttle staff were (NB. they will drop & pick you up from anywhere within a 3-mile radius), it is absolutely ridiculous to pay $27.50 per day for basically a car park...

The Luxe would be great if you could actually get some sleep. Unfortunately, as several reviewers have noted, sleep quality is poor. The walls and floors are really thin, so you can hear walking around and telephone conversations even when your neighbors are not being loud. I wish I'd paid attention to those warnings. (I switched rooms, but the second...

We had a great time at the Luxe, the servers were very nice. The reception staff - not always that helpful especially since they also double as the concierge. I think the hotel should invest in a dedicated concierge service, this would mean that hotel guest are not waiting while the people are checking in/out. The only negative is the...

I am a loyal Marriott life time member who decided to take a chance at a new hotel. The Luxe Hotel was a fantabulous find and I will only stay there for any future trips to the Los Angeles area. It is centrally located to the highway, restaurants and shopping.

“We stayed on the upper floor. It's a wood-frame building, so footsteps from above can be heard if you're on the ground floor.”

“I like the "spa level" which overlooks the pool and is close to fitness center, as long as you don't mind walking up a hill, or waiting for a gold cart to take you up/down. I don't mind it and find it tranquil. Stay away from rooms near the stairs though. They are also adding an elevator (long overdue).”
