The service has become non existent. The app no longers gives you key access, it no longer delivers things to your room like extra towels. They really aren't into providing any service at all. Even calling the front desk gets you... nothing. And yet they aren't a cheap place to stay at. So this is completely unacceptable. If you expect anything resembling a full service hotel, don't come here.

I expected far more from a Marriott.... Stayed for a long weekend prior to an international flight. Lobby and rooms were recently nicely remodeled and what few staff they had were pleasant and always helpful.... Unfortunately numerous facilities issues while I was there really which were poorly handled made the stay a big disappointment. Specifically I water issue on the 8th floor inundated parts of the 8th and 7th floors and ran down the elevator shafts disabling the all customer elevators for the better part of a day. The video system feeding the TV's in the rooms was inoperable for two days.... Due to "COVID" they only service rooms if you ask, and this is a Category 5 hotel? Airport busses are supposed to run every 20 minutes but I waited over 45 minutes. I was told they had three busses running but I feel that was to placate me as I was very close to missing my flight due to their bus delays. Marriott isn't what it used to be....

While one is impressed with the lobby, the best ever seen, one is let down once settled in. The room carpeting is old and worn, ditto for the hallway. The world's smallest closets. Noisy a/c when working. Beds too soft. Excellent staff and American breakfast excellent, waitress excellent. Pantry is the best ever. When was the time you saw newspapers, magazines, and clothing sold? Fine assortment of wine, toilettes, sandals, sort of like a mini Costco or Target. Cynthia was super at check in. Mark my words she will be running this hotel. Fire extinguishers have nothing to break the glass as they are locked in the hallway. Elevators have a mind of their own, not Otis. Lobby is on the second floor and many push the starred # 1, only to open to the garage. Starbucks on premise. Snack bar too. Security problem as phone rang so low I was asleep with the Do Not Disturb sign. Knocking at door at 6:15 am followed by entry, he kept saying room service so he was ignored because I never ordered room service. Bathtub failed to hold a tub of water. Very clean rooms. As I said lobby looks as if you are on a Starship, huge, wide entrances to various departments. Bathrooms nearby. Comfortable lounge chairs. Well lite. Two check in counters opposite each other. Popular, almost sold out last night. Continental breakfast on the 18yh floor, free. Regular dining downstairs, plenty of food. I had an ommlett with four ingredients. Shuttle service excellent. Food and beverage director well seasoned, experienced, there is no substitute. I would have rated this hotel a four, maybe a five if the rooms had not contrasted with the FIVE lobby. General manager has trained the staff well. No argument here. No jet noise, which was remarkable. Mixture of business and family travelers. Cell phone works without logging on to hotel web.

The hotel is super close to the airport (almost walking distance) and surprisingly there were no noise issues being that close. We had a balcony with a view of the pool which was awesome ! They have a lot of offer at this hotel from 3 restaurants and a STARBUCKS in the lobby to stores where you can purchase a quick outfit. The down side to my stay was that there was ONLY HOT water so if you like cool showers you’ll have a complain. Housekeeping never left us new towels even tho we asked everyday for 5 days we had to call down daily to get new ones but they got them to us in a timely manner. We were in LA to get good food and to see the cities unfortunately every time you go somewhere you have a 40 minute drive all the way back to the airport even if you’re in downtown LA (Not the hotels fault). Parking was very pricy 50$ a night which I feel should be a bit lower since you have to park yourself and parking was a bit hard to find in the lot. Pool was amazing and even had a poolside bar. Over all we enjoyed our stay but unfortunately this hotel was wayy out of the way for what we had planned. Highly recommend if you’re on business to stay here.

There is a bunch of hidden charges, the worst is the 15 bucks for WIFI, I can't believe a 4 star hotel will not inlcude wifi in the price. Also the TV does not work and they said they will fix it but never did
