First off this place is not a hotel it is infact a motel! for the pice you pay it is not worth it! I paid $1189 for 5 nights which is a complete rip off! The room had a weird stench smell to it. It is not safe my family was scared as there was a huge sliding door as... More

Room size is good for two people. Breakfast is good, good location, plenty of free parking, and reasonably priced. Cant ask for more. There was some noise in room above our room, but it was quickly resolved once we made a phone call at the reception. Free wifi as well :)

The room was nice size and my only complaint is that the carpet was quite dirty. The free breakfast was good. The location was very good for attending Universal Studios, and other attractions. The staff was very nice and helpful.

This hotel is the perfect, affordable place to stay while in LA. First off its extremely rare to find a hotel in LA with free parking and free breakfast. The hotel it's self is clean and quiet. It has a nice pool and jacuzzi spa . It's about a ten minute drive to universal and within 20 minutes of every... More

We stayed here when we visited LA, and the main reason to book this particular hotel was that it is close to Hollywood, Griffith Observatory,Universal Studios, and it is reasonably priced. They serve complimentary breakfast which would normally have the usual like tea, coffee, cereal, bread, eggs, sausages, potatoes and sometimes waffles. Rooms are clean and well kept, courteous staff, and... More

I wanted a hotel close to Universal Studios Hollywood, reasonably priced, free parking, free breakfast and wifi and found it at the Mikado. Charming little hotel in a nice area with friendly staff. literally 9 minutes away from Universal and in a quiet area.

Property was very clean and staff very friendly. The breakfast was very tasty. I would've rated hotel a 5 but upon arrival I requested for extra pillows around 2:30pm. I had to call several times and the pillows didnt show up until 8:30pm.Otherwise great hotel in which I didn't expect much....pleasantly surprised.

On a recent trip to Los Angeles I decided to stay as close to the Burbank, Bob Hope Airport as possible. I was surprised at the high room rates in the LA area. Not a lot of choices for under $150 a night. I finally decided to stay at the Mikado Hotel in North Hollywood. The lobby and adjoining restaurant... More

We stayed here for our last few days in California. We stayed in various hotels throughout California and this was reasonably priced, close to the freeway and Universal Studios. Breakfast and parking was included in the price and overall was very good. Pool was a good size, breakfast basic but filling. The only drawback was the rooms need some updating.... More

This place is clean, quiet, nice looking, and up-to-date. I'm not sure about the parking situation because we were able to park in the small parking lot in the front. I didn't check further than that. Good neighborhood, too, and close to the Hollywood Bowl and easy freeway access. I'll stay again.
