I spent a week here while I was working in Los Angeles. It's a very simple hotel. No bar. No restaurant or room service. My room had a king size bed, a single table and chair, and a TV. There was an empty small fridge...More

I agree with the previous response. What is safe? It's LA, Hollywood CA. With a tolerable climate, there is homelessness. That said, there were some "characters" out at about 10 PM during our walk (2 females) from the farmer's market to the Beverly. The area is fairly well lit with a open late or convenience store that is 24 hour or open late mid-way between the market and Beverly. There are other boutique hotels and street lights with mild vehicular and foot traffic along the way. While i did not feel as safe as in my city (austin) during the day, i was not afraid to go back/forth for dinner after dark. If you feel tense, Uber is an option for a few dollars. The Farmer's Market was not open late- like till 2 AM bar/club hours so there was no need for really late night walks.
