Four of us stayed at the Magic Castle Hotel on Monday, 24 Mar 2014. It is an old and tired apartment building, which has been converted into a motel, and is definitely in serious need of some major maintenance/refurbishment/updating, and the egg-yolk yellow exterior color...More

The MC is in a decent area but you need to keep your eyes open at all times. Hollywood Blvd is 2 blocks away which will be a different adventure. Public transportation is available but I suggest you use UBER to go to attractions. Driving can be stressful if you have never drove in the states. I was in Australia for a month and it took me a week to get adjusted to your driving. FYI, the MC has Vegamite in a tube for breakfast. Welcome to the USA!
