The staff was great, the room was nice and a good value unless you want a working heater, a door that locks properly, actual privacy in the room where the curtains close entirely (Where the bright light outside your window does not illuminate your room) and a television that actually works. I would not recommend this hotel.
No phone, no microwave, no coffee/tea machine. Spacious room (#8) and comfortable beds with a small fridge however, the bed sheets were not changed and mice were present during the 2 nights we stayed at the motel. There was a hole in the bathroom from where the mice were coming out and lots of mouse poop on the floor. You could hear them all night. This matter was reported in the morning and we were told that we will change room but it did not happen, although I am sure it would have been the same issue in a different room. They put some kind of paste to cover the hole and cleaned the floor but the same thing happened the 2nd night. It looked like to me that the staff was aware of the situation but did not do anything...
TV volume did not work rite. No hot water for morning shower. No phone, no microwave, nobody came to clean or take away garbage in 1 small can which overflowed. I asked for a Business Card was handed a Post Note he stamped with a letter head. Paid for four days after complaining to Manager Johnny Hernandez I checked out after 2 days and was told he would credit me 2 days. Evidently he did not as i was told by Hotel Planner. I was told by Hotel Planner to call Lincoln Park Motel to remind them to credit me. Then call Hotel Planner, then they would call Priceline, then they would call the motel. This is after 60 days waiting to see credit card adjustment as told by Hotel Planner.
We were not in one of the small rooms, but in a double--Room 10. It was spacious but had no closet or dresser where to store or hang up clothes so the extra bed came in handy. The bed we chose to sleep in was very comfortable. If you are on a road trip, bring your own coffee pot--there is not one in the room. There is no ice machine. The only microwave is a community microwave outside the lobby but I would not put my food in there--it looked like it had been cleaned in a very long time. The room did have small fridge. The staff was friendly. We used Uber the whole time there to get around and it was a handy pick up location. Maintenance and cleaning could be better. There were sections of the wall that had not been painted and when we returned after our first day of being out all day (7 hours) our room had not been cleaned. We had to request that it be done. There is limited parking.…
Great staff, clean rooms, well kept grounds, Staff available 24 hours, no coffee or phones. Large TV, decent size bathroom. Community microwave, filtered hot and cold water available onsite, refrigerator in room. Don't be put off by location or motel age (1930's). It's well taken care of and Mission road provides easy access to many parts of the city. The clean cabin/cottage style rooms might seem minimal but are more than adequate and provide a cute, quaint look at the past. Pros: clean, great staff, easy access to two freeways, easy access to a couple of hospitals (LAC-USC and White Memorial), all room and parking access isp past the office, lots of cameras, good showers, comfortable beds and pillows, A/C worked, rooms are not wall to wall. Cons: parking can be tricky if no vacancies, took a long time for the water to heat in the room I was in, A/C fan was noisy. This one is both good and bad: Not much in the area, which means not a lot of odd activity. Again both good and bad: it's not a resort. There is a convenience store, laundermat, a take out restaurant and Lincoln Park all in walking distance.…
