Visited Mariposa, the gateway to Yosemite, for a weekend wedding shoot. After some research I decided to check into the Mariposa Hotel Inn. Love staying in old historic hotels with a story to tell. Not only do i like to photograph these places I also like to investigate them also. Armed with my camera, and my paranormal equipment, I had... More

Stayed 3 nights using this as our base for exploring all Yosemite has to offer. Our room was well appointed and comfortable. Owners were really friendly and good to talk to. Complimentary breakfast provided. Recommended.

If you like your accommodations to have some history and character, and if you like your innkeeper to actually be engaged and helpful, then stay here. If you prefer a safe, predictable "motel" and a clerk who simply runs your credit card, don't. Not many other hotel options as you approach Yosemite from this direction, and if you want you... More

we had a lovely stay at the mariposa hotel inn... Mary waited for us even if we arrived late.. and rooms we were equipped - very comfortable bed. Breakfast wasn't great - but other than that - a pleasant stay.

This was such a gem of a place, tucked away in what feels like an old, wild western town of gold. It was conveniently located on the outskirts of Yosemite, so adventures may be had before retiring here for a comfy night's stay. The owners are simply adorable and they take IMMACULATE care of the rooms. My room was so... More

Such a cozy and charming place to stay! Old house, archaic style, bed and breakfast type stay. Hummingbirds on the terrace! The owner is absolutely wonderful and bery helpful. Very clean and welcoming hotel. Mariposa is a very charming place to stay if you're visiting Yosemite Park. Restaurants and bars are plenty, even though it's a village really. One miss... More

We spent the day in Yosemite and hadn't booked a room for the evening. We were having trouble finding decent lodgings. Most of what we had come across were low quality with extortionate prices. We called to check availability for the Mariposa and Mary, the owner, answered the phone. Her good humor, the fact that it was a historic Inn... More

The hotel was not so cheap, but besides that it was very good! The inn keeper Mary received us and was very friendly and polite. The room was big and very nicely decorated. All was very clean and organized. The breakfast was simple but very good, with muffins, fruits, coffee. I would recommend it! We had a really good night's... More

Due to wanting to go to Yosemite, we couldn't stay inside the park so opted for a close in place. Well, this is hardly close in...over an hour to entrance of park! For this, I was most disappointed. The place itself is ok, but not at all close enough. I had a terrible night's sleep for which I shouldn't really... More

We stayed two nights in a fairly large rear corner room furnished with early 20th Century (or earlier) mirrored dressing table and sewing table. There was also a "hot house" window in the corner. The bathroom and tub/shower were newer, but still "vintage," and suffered from the normal quirks of older facilities, the most annoying of which was the shower... More
