Pros: very near Stanford; clean sheets, towels, and surface; kitchenette; spacious; safe-seeming neighborhood; quaint architecture. Cons: no staff at desk—ever; strange parking; rooms in disrepair with window nailed shut, missing shower door, absent faceplates for outlets; few feet from busy road; no cable; space heater randomly made lots of noise and had to be turned off, and the room got rather cold. Location, location, location—few other places in this condition could charge even half as much.

Disgusting!!.. Booked one night to visit our son at Stanford. We arrived around 3am due to flight delays. No one at the office but the key was left with my name and room number. I hardly looked at the room and just crawled into bed. The sheets felt gritty so I turned on the lights and looked. The sheets were filthy and a clump of hair fell on the floor. I was so exhausted I thought I would just sleep in the car. When I stepped outside of my room I saw a swastika I did not notice when we got to the room. I took pictures (which are too offensive to share) and we left. Thank God there was a brand new Marriot Residence Inn less than a mile away. I left a message for management and have not heard from them I also called my credit card company to make sure I was not charged for this hell hole!

Arrived on Saturday 10/14 an hour before check-in for a room w/ 2 Queen beds. One woman checked us in early, but said to come back in an hour since the room was being cleaned. The 3 us left to have lunch and arrived back a little over an hour later. We entered the room to discover there was only 1 Queen bed. As I headed to the office window, I see the 2 women about to get in a car. I yelled after them, but they looked at me and left in the car anyway. I rang the doorbell to the office but no one else was working there. There was a sign in the window that said to call a phone number for immediate assistance. 15 phone calls and 30 minutes later, no one had answered. I booked through Expedia, so I contacted them. They were able to get ahold of them and were informed that there were no queen rooms with 2 beds. Since there were 3 of us staying there, I asked Expedia to call them back to ask if they had a spare bed. 15 minutes on hold and Expedia returned to say that they couldn't get in contact with them at all. Needless to say, Expedia paid for us to relocate to a Best Western down the street, which was much better. AVOID THIS HOTEL.

I loved this place. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I ended up getting upgraded to a room (#9) on the second floor and found it to be full of charm - beautiful old floorboards, a lemon tree in the courtyard, a quirky kitchenette. It seems perfect for long term stays rather than one or two night visitors. Has this place seen better days? Yes - years ago. Is the place due for a major over haul? Yes - years ago. But for the price and location, roll with it.

Everything already written before this sums this place up. It looks like a wino hotel. Filthy, stained furniture, no staff anywhere. There were dirty towels on the floor, the bedspread is foul, linens questionable.

The owners definitely are not counting are repeat visitors. Pretty much everything was shabby. I could not find anybody working there to check out despite repeatedly ringing their door bell. If low $$ is your primary criterion for deciding where to stay, then go ahead. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere.

This is by far one of the worst hotels that I have EVER stayed at. Had holes to the outside walls, dirty and stained upholstery and carpets and peeling paint over the gas range. I would definitely discourage ANYBODY from staying there unless financially restricted. Stay away from this one even though cheaper. I felt exremely scared as an unsafe area!

Stayed at this "Inn" while I had an appointment At The Cancer Center @ Stanford. It was awful. There was no one there to check me in- a lady that spoke no English handed me an envelope with a key- never saw anyone there. No one around when I went to check out. Nothing in the room worked, Some of the outlets were faulty, furniture stained, TV didn't work. Don't ever ever ever stay here! Never again. No security, parking was sketchy. I had my daughter and a friend with me so I was super on alert at all times. Will never go back here. Spend the extra $$ and stay somewhere nicer.

This place was disgusting. Don't do it! The room was large but the aircon had mould in it. The chassis had disgusting stains and the bed just a basic sheet and looked like you might catch something. The for deadlock was difficult to work and everything looked old.
