The Menlo Park Inn is a phenomenal deal for the area. It is clean and updated. We were in town for a surgery and found it within walking distance from many restaurants The complimentary breakfast offered a variety of healthy options and all the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. I have stayed at the Menlo Park Inn many times over the past five years. It is always immaculate and the staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful. Although i had booked on hotel.com for my last stay, I changed the booking to a direct reservation with the hotel when i checked in because the front desk person let me know that it would be ten dollars cheaper! Great service!

I stayed for 30 days in Menlo Park Inn and had a great time. The location was amazing, with Caltrain, department stores, and many great restaurants in walking distance. The rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was solid. The desk staff were also extremely polite and helpful. I received several parcels while I was there and the staff would help collect the parcels, and go the extra mile to inform me that they had arrived. All this is for a great price. Definitely would recomend!

I had a great experience at the Menlo Park Inn. It is very charming and warm and on top of that a great location near everything in that part of the peninsula. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. And they serve a wonderful breakfast. The price is right and I highly recommend it to anyone going to the San Francisco Bay area.

No need to repeat what others say in their positive reviews. I concur!! Clean, well-located, quiet rooms in the back, ample/safe parking, walking distance to downtown Menlo Park and train station to SF. We are local residents who needed to vacate our home for a few days for a construction project, and the Menlo Park Inn was exactly what we were looking for. The hotel proactively reached out to us to clarify details about a specific request, and they were able to assign us a very quiet room. The GM is very hands-on and was on duty when we checked in. He clearly takes a lot of pride in this property and wants guests to be satisfied. They have started their breakfast service again. For those who need a literal 5-Star property, there are plenty to choose from in the area, and they are priced accordingly. The Menlo Park Inn is well-priced alternative for those who need reliable accommodations. Let me start by stating I have previously stayed at this property and was aware of the plusses and minuses when I booked it for this trip. First, you simply cannot beat the rate for this location. It is ideally situated for easy travel to many nearby locations. There are very good restaurants within a five minutes’ walk and many other places to visit within a five to ten minutes’ drive. The rooms are relatively spacious, depending upon which one you book, and very comfortable. There is plenty of lighting, the wall unit HVAC works well and doesn’t make an obscene amount of noise but isn’t as quiet as central AC would be. The bed was comfortable and the television was good with plenty of channels from which to choose (important on long stays or stays with kids). The bathrooms are nice with good lighting and excellent water pressure. Wireless worked well. I was in a corner room and it was as quiet as it could be. On the flipside, there will always be more noise when you have a motel style setting without interior hallways. It wasn’t ever a nuisance during my stay but just know you will hear more as a result. The room I was in really could use an update. The couch was old and slightly stained. The carpet, paint, wallpaper, bathroom tiles and fixtures are clearly from another century. It’s not bad, just worn down. It didn’t detract from my stay as, again, I had been here before and knew what I was getting. Not having a breakfast was irrelevant to me as I never eat one anyway. Parking so close to your room is always more convenient. I see that many folks rate this a four or a five. I am not comfortable doing that because this property, though really good for what it is, cannot attain that rating as the condition of the rooms don’t warrant it. BUT, I would absolutely stay here again because I do not need a four or five star rated property when I make a trip to Menlo Park. I need a well-priced, well located, nice motel and this fits that need.…

This is a clean, well-located hotel, within walking distance (in a safe neighborhood) to several great restaurants as well as the newly refurbished Guild Theatre. Although there is no longer a continental breakfast offered, there is a great coffee machine in the lobby offering every type of specialty coffee drink you could want, as well as lemon water. The staff was friendly and the room was spacious, especially the beautiful bathroom. We did have issues (twice) with our keys not working, but the office staff fixed them each time, including once at midnight.

Needed a place in Menlo Park at the last minute, and this appeared much better value than most local hotels. It appears to have been recently refurbished, and is well maintained, very clean, with spacious rooms. Very helpful staff dealt with booking questions. Provides a great location from which to walk into town, with nearby restaurants and shops. Very happy with this choice.
