Owner was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. A great value for an overnight stay in the area. Having had some bad experiences in the past with locally owned roadside inn's, I was very wary. This place, however, was well run, well maintained, and held no unpleasant surprises.

We were in Yosemite National Park and we needed a room for one night. We found the Christmas Tree Inn listed on Priceline outside the park. The listing said the inn had a rating of 8.8 out of 10 and there was one room left. The price was $115, but we were charged $119 plus $12 tax. I assumed the... More

Honestly, I was a bit worried when I booked this motel. It was not on my intended travel route, located in the mountains, in an area that doesn't seem to see lots of tourists, and is not operated by any chain. Who knows how bad could it be. It turned out to be one of my best motel experiences in... More

I booked a room near Yosemite on short notice for Memorial Day 2016. Then I got stuck all day at Yosemite due to overcapacity and did not get to this inn until almost midnight. The manager was already in bed, but the night button raised him off his bed. It was a pleasant to meet someone so cheerful being woken... More

We were recommended this place by a local restaurant. We had just come over the pass Route 108 - now that is a nice road to take and is a must if you stay here. We were welcomed very nicely as we only wanted to say the one night. Everywhere is clean and tidy, clearly a very efficiently run Motel.... More

Typically, husband (age 65) and I (age 61) stay at chain properties when travelling for ease of making reservations online as well as locations and customer reward programs. Sometimes, however, we find ourselves in areas where the chains don't have facilities and thus we will use local, independently owned accommodations. The Christmas Tree Inn was really nice. We'd read reviews... More

I'll keep it short. The rooms are spacious and very clean, clean towels every day. There is plenty of parking and free wifi which is surprisingly very fast. The guy that owns the hotel is probably the friendliest most helpful person me and my family have met on our road trip,he is a fountain of information. Would I stay here... More

My daughter and I had a very nice experience at The Christmas Tree! Tim is very courteous, helpful and available. The room was spacious, with a nice size, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, clean soft towels every day, very comfortable beds, nice table for eating and a flat screen TV with all the possible channels, and an unusual fast,... My husband and I checked in here while he went flyfishing in the area. I was happy that they gave us an AARP discount ($5) even though they mainly recognize AAA. We walked in to a large, spacious, very clean room (#103). The room was equipped with a microwave, small refrigerator and a blow dryer. Also, it had plenty of... More

This was mine and my siblings first roadtrip in America, and Christmas Tree Inn was our first stop. It was brilliant! The room was nice, there was free parking, located on a lovely road framed by gorgeous tall Sequoias. The guy at reception was so lovely, he was polite and made conversation with us, and directed us across the road... More
