Stayed at this hotel for a week long work event. Sure, the location is nice, you walk outside and it looks like something out of a movie. That's the extent of the niceness of our stay. Other than that the room had a bad stench as soon as we walked in. Many of the common areas were noisy until at least 11pm. BUT, this is not the reason for the poor review. This review is for the front desk staff, management and sales team. There was a mix up with our parent company with the credit card that should have been left on file for them to cover the cost of the rooms. Since there was a mixup, myself and other coworkers had to put our personal cards on file but were ASSURED that it was only temporary and nothing would actually be charged until their admin figured it out. Fast forward a few hours after check in and ALL of our cards were being charged for thousands of dollars. Each day I had to take time out of my workday to call the front desk to ask why we continued to be charged and I got the runaround from a new person each time. All of their excuses felt disingenuous and it was a terrible thing to have to deal with on top of a stressful work trip. It's completely unprofessional and just unethical to be lied to about charges on a card. How can a hotel book rooms for a company and their staff with no card on file??? It doesn't make sense. There is obviously no protocol on how to escalate things to the correct management person to get a TRUE answer. Instead each random staff member tries to give a different answer in order to shut the client up. NOT A GOOD LOOK.Don't recommend.

The hotel is beautiful, it is centrally located, has a good restaurant, room service, fireplace in some rooms. Nespresso machine in room as well as electric tea kettle if you’re a tea person. 3 stars is because we hardly got a good nights sleep the 3 nights we were there. We were right above the pool which is noisy, the room next to us were loud, the room above us loved to stomp or jump around and I don’t know where exactly it was coming from but a door slammed about every 5 f-ing minutes so sleeping in or an afternoon nap was out of the question. We suspect the door slamming came from the pool or gym or outside door to the bike path out back but it was incredibly irritating. Anyway, that’s all. Our room probably should just be a storage closet because the location of it is crappy.

I have stayed at this property so many times I’ve lost count. Just had another perfect two days with no improvements suggested. Thank you for an amazing personal retreat space! So glad the restaurant is open again. As always I did not want to leave!

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 2 toddlers. The room was very clean, spacious enough for them to run around, and had both a shower and large bath for the kiddos. We had a great view of Cannery Row so they loved sitting by the window to people watch. It was a short walk to the Aquarium, restaurants, grocery store, and a quick drive to multiple playgrounds. The staff was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families with young kids!

My kids and I had an amazing 2 nights getaway at the beautiful Clement Monterey. We love that it is in the heart of Cannery Row with so much to do just steps away, including the aquarium. Breakfast and dinner at the C bar and restaurant were delicious as usual. The staff is extremely welcoming, attentive and friendly….world class. Kudos to management. Never disappoints. Highly recommend.
