It is significant that it was hard to get a booking at this motel. It is popular and for Monterey it is reasonably priced. Not fancy, not new. But everything works, everything is clean, staff are very helpful. Very handy for a number of good restaurants and about a mile from Fisherns Wharf

Large room and bathroom and huge, very comfortable bed, for this price and location, I consider this place luxurious. We paid $70/ night and except for an occasional noisy plane overhead (not often at this very small airport) I have stayed in much more expensive hotels that were not as comfortable. The only issue was that in the early morning...

Thank you for your review, we're very happy you enjoyed your stay with us. Sorry about the hot water, the day you were here one of our tanks went down.

We were traveling from Los Angeles to San Francisco up the coast and needed to stay for the night. This place was conveniently not far from the highway. Good rooms, quiet. Not too far from the ocean. Loved it.

Great value for money was far more upmarket than we were expecting. Lovely clean rooms with comfortable beds. Starbucks coffee in the room was a nice touch. Close to everything we wanted. A great two nights stay on our road trip down the west coast.

This is a comfortable little motor inn that was perfectly adequate. We had a two bedroom cottage with a fully equipped kitchen, old but clean. Plenty of places to eat nearby. It is a car trip to the sights of Monterey but as I said in the title it is great value for money.

We stayed for 3 nights in January, along with many fellow kayakers. The room was comfortable. Reading lights are not so great so best to read on digital devices. Good hot shower, handy fridge and microwave. Best of all, the Lone Oak offers a series of freshwater rinse tanks for salty wetsuits, drysuits and other dive/kayak gear along with bars...

We were two retired couples sharing a two bedroom cottage, luckily related, as the bathroom is only accessible through one of the bedrooms. The cottage was well equipped but if you did need anything, the front desk was very responsive, beds were super comfy and everything was clean.

I love the rooms there....easy and convenient. Having dunk tanks and hooks outside of room to rinse and hang dry our kayak equipment is the main reason for staying...works out great. Convienient location to the freeway and launching spot too.

We checked in January 2017 and after a pleasant conversation with the front desk receptionist, she upgraded my wife and I to a suite with a fireplace and hot tub! We had a great trip in Monterrey and this unexpected surprise made our trip even better!

We stayed at this motel on our way from San Francisco to L.A. It wasn't the cheapest in the area, but it was well worth extra money. The room was large, clean and very cozy. The receptionist was friendly, helpful, gave us some tips about Big Sur. Too bad I forgot her name, I'd thank her personally. It truly felt...
