I made a hotel reservation through booking.com for 3 nights at the Monterey Clarion Hotel. Plans changed and I canceled my reservation just outside the 72-hour cancellation policy window. The Clarion Hotel charged me for the first night's stay which infuriated me. After speaking to the hotel, and even having the customer service rep at booking.com speak to the hotel...

I thought this place was going to be wonderful, but we ended up having a terrible experience. Upon check-in at 2:30 we put a cash deposit down so an authorization hold wouldn't be placed on our credit card (because it takes a while to get back into the bank) and we asked if that was acceptable, and the front desk...

Not the most up to date hotel but room was clean. It has an in door pool and buffet breakfast. Not a bad place to stop for a night. A short walk gets you to the centre of town for the restaurants, pubs and seafront.

I booked this hotel for the indoor swimming pool as my kids love to swim when we travel. Since Monterey's climate is cool I though indoor would be a better option. It was. The pool was a big hit with the kids and and it was just the right temp. The spa was also nice. We booked a room with...

I got this motel through Priceline, and guess what they gave us the ugliest room with a small bed and no double lock for our security. They are not too accommodating, we were given 1 queen bed. Room is too small to put a roll away bed. we are Family of 5, and kids were 7yrs old, 5 and infant)...

Nice and clean along with a convenient location. Fireplace in the room along with an indoor pool and hot tub. Shower, tv etc all worked fine. Can park right next to your door. Breakfast selection is not real big and no 2% milk. Free newspapers - USA Today. Friendly staff.

I booked this on my phone when it became apparent that we would need to spend a couple of days in Monterey, CA. First of all the night desk clerk attempted to refuse us our Automobile Club discount. Then the next day at 1:30 pm we received a call from the front office asking us why we hadn't checked out....

The room was small, but good and quiet. Only flaw to the experience was a large patch of mold behind the toilet tank in rm 110. It was rather gross, personally. Other than the minor issue, the bed was very comfy, and the surroundings quiet. There was even an ocean view (out the bathroom window).

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night. We loved it. We rented the family suite and it had a full kitchen 2 big beds and a fireplace with a small deck outside. It has some covered parking and an indoor pool. The only drawback was the door was hard to open. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was...

The location is lined with hotels and a short drive from shops and waterfront. I have mix reviews for this hotel. The interior rooms are updated and clean, but the building exterior such as stairs, doors need to be repaired. The pool looked dirty, and I felt like the people staying here were more transits than vacationers
