Hotel's Favourite
Excellent location, we walked just minutes to get to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row shops, etc.. The Victorian theme runs throughout the hotel and works, very well appointed. Lobby and breakfast area is a nice look and vibe. The continental breakfast was pretty good, some hot food available but mostly bakery & coffee when we went in Sept 2021. Nice staff, when all the luggage carts were gone on the morning of our departure, we called the front desk, and someone immediately found one for us to use. Parking on first floor underground, luggage carts available, little patio in room, nice courtyard areas, large room with sitting area and fireplace. Refrigerator. Didn't notice if there was a microwave. It was a "Best Western" when we first booked but is no longer a BW. Hallways are "well used" but price was also not super high like the hotels just a short block away so small price to pay for much better rate. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful experience. Rooms are well appointed and priced very reasonably. If you are visiting Monterey, this is a great place to stay. The location is very close to Cannery Row with great views. Parking is secure and monitored 24 hours a day.

The Staff was incredible, always nice and helpful. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to Cannery Row, restaurants and CVS. They have a parking lot that is very convenient and a lovely garden in the middle of the complex.

There are hot days, even on the coast, this hotel has no AC. Room fridge did not work, nor did coffee maker. They allow pets, and if you have pet allergies, beware. Dog food on carpet. Coutryard view not as advertized.

We spent 2 nights here to visit sights in not only Monterey, but also Pacific Grove, Asilomar, Pebble Beach, and, of course, Carmel. The room rates are high in this much-visited destination, but this property offered a lot, besides view and free breakfast. Secured parking the basement is an extra $17 per night, but there is available parking on the street. Cannery Row is in walking distance (save $20 in parking at their structure). There's many shops and restos on Lighthouse St. We love Crystal Fish for sushi. We had a great time here and would return.
