We spent two pleasant nights here last week. Instead of the cookie cutter, expensive chain hotels, we are spending our nights in small business owned motels at responsible prices. We found a gem here with friendly, helpful owners, newly remodeled, clean rooms with tv, microwave, refrig, hair dryer, comfortable beds all for a more than responsible price. Can't ask for...

Our room was quiet, comfortable, and clean. We needed a peaceful place for a good night's sleep and that is exactly what we got. We were able to sleep with the windows open to get a nice, cool breeze coming through our room. There isn't anything super fancy about this place, but it was a great spot for rest during...

What a comfortable stay we had at this pleasant motel. This place had strangers in the parking lot chatting with each other about what a great find it was. Our room had plenty of sunlight and was very tastefully decorated. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The location, just two blocks from the waterfront, was perfect - we walked...

Wonderful family runs this little mom-n-pop motel. The property is retro. However, the owners have renovated and maintained it well. The rooms are spotless. Just look at the collection of flowering plants outside the office.... a sign that the owners love their property. This is a Morro Bay treasure. Agree completely with an the review by Steve D.

Yes it is old, yes it is basic. However who cares when a motel is maintained as well as this one. All fittings are renewed and the place is spotlessly clean. As we were leaving the Manager was opening all the windows of the changeover rooms so that they would air. This attention to detail includes real coffee cups and...

I am a solo male traveler (59) and stayed two nights at the Sundown Inn in Morro Bay. I want to agree with all of the positive reviews that I have seen on this small mom and pop motel. The Inn's location is a short walk to just about everything in Morro Bay. My room was the nicest of the...

We paid about $60 for one night here and couldn't be more pleased. It's an older motor court-style motel from the '60s. Some owners might just keep it going with coats of paint, stucco, and just-functional, if mismatched, furnishings and accents. But the owners here have chosen to keep the room clean, up-to-date but charmingly retro. Nice new fixtures in...

Clean and comfortable. Beautiful owner who really cares for the motel. Close to the restaurants and bars would definitely stay here again. In this day and age where else would you find a vibrating message bed WoooooHooooo.. no restaurant on site but discounts for local cafés available. Bright and friendly

After a full day at the beach it is great to be staying at a place that is clean, smells clean ( not cover up smell clean either!), well kept with the attention to detail that gives our room " charm". More important however is that the plumbing works well. You want a good hot shower, you got it! Our...

We stayed for 1 night and it was a step back in time. Old but fresh decor. The room was really clean. Small but really fun to stay there. It's ideally placed just a very short walk to the seafront and fantastic restaurants for breakfast and dinner.we would definitely stay again.Give this hotel a you will love it.
