We hiked the Pacific Crest Trail and passed by the Laguna Mountain Lodge. The place is owned by two brothers who are extremely grumpy and incredibly rude. Be very careful when handing over money in the store. They will snatch it from you! The older brother with the grey hair even snatched my wallet from me when he saw that...

I scheduled my cabin on last minute and we were lucky that they had vacancy. Trails are nearby and countless, you must to at least do a couple of miles on the amazing PCT imagine how a real hiker goes on miles and miles all along this marvelous trail. The store is fairly well supplied they also manage to lodge...

I have rented a cabin many times over the years - it is basic, no frills, but in a gorgeous area, so I put up with it. However, I got sick and needed to cancel. I had paid the entire cost of the room in advance. I requested that in consideration of me being a long time customer, that they...

Stayed here with the wife. The places just were not clean, stuff was run down, the killer was the what i call "indoor-outdoor" carpet on the floor of the cabine full of stains. Would not stay here again.

This is a tough one. I only rated the lodge as 3 stars, yet we had a ton of fun. We booked their largest cabin for a couple of nights, for a quick staycation (we only live 30 mins down the mountain). If you don't mind some dirt, a VERY rustic feel, outdated cabinets, furniture, and appliances, then you will...

You will REGRET staying here! STRONGLY suggest just stoping here for their over-priced snacks, then continue 10 miles along scenic Sunrise Highway to beautiful Julian CA for a room or cabin with great customer service*. Also, Mt Laguna suffered from recent wildfires & drought so there are burned trees and dry grass. The photos on their website are of the...

The cabins are old and rugged - they reminded me of my father's old motor home. And yes, I can see why some folks have said their customer service is less than stellar (I personally didn't think they were rude - but I can see why some folks may think so). However, I was completely satisfied with my stay there....

Best times to go is winter when it snows. ..store there closes early best to bring a ice chest full of food. The store can be a bit pricy. . Also bring your bbq supplies the cabins...

We booked here at the last minute while enjoying some hiking in the Cleveland National Forest. The location is great being that it's in the park on Laguna Mountain. Super convenient. We got a cabin for a good rate and stayed just one night. The cabins are essentially mobile homes and ours had a bedroom, a bathroom (full plumbing) and...

This is one of those goofy rare cases where circumstances and a unique location transform average to very good or excellent. Bluntly, the Laguna Mountain Lodge is not fancy; it's akin to an above average bunkhouse or a truly off-the-beaten-path 1950s motel. One might say it's rustic, but it is relatively clean. I stayed in a room, rather than a...
