Our stay was a good one at the Victoria Inn. Let me say first off the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was decorated very nicely and the the unit was pleasantly spacious. It included a sitting area, with sink, small refrigerator, coffee maker and coffee items. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. For me there were a couple of drawbacks due to my back issues. The love seat was too soft for me so I could not sit on it. The bed mattress needs to be changed I think. I had to sleep in the middle so I didn’t feel I would roll toward the center. Not terrible, just needs a change out. The inn is situated nicely in the middle of this charming Main Street that offers, eateries, wine tasting, shops etc. We happened to visit on a hot week and spent some afternoons in the room before dinner time. It would have been nice to have a television, in this situation, to augment our books and music play on our instruments.

Thank you Toni W for sharing your review and information. I will be sure to look into the mattress. I am fairly certain that is a new mattress, but I will be sure to check it out for support and resolve the potential slope to the middle. We have not had televisions .on property for over 20 years and do offer that option in our off site vacation rental properties we manage. Unfortunately, your stay was during a not normal temperature spike that can make venturing out a bit of a challenge. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and hope to see you again in the future for another visit. Again, thank you for sharing. Cheers!

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. We stayed at a property managed by this company over the weekend. On Friday night/Saturday morning, sometime after midnight, a man walked INTO our house, INTO the kitchen, through the back door without knocking. We had a house full of women. He claimed he was the owner and we were being too loud. Turns out he didn't own the home, he owns the company that was managing it. Fast forward to Saturday around 6pm when we just got home, and had been gone all day, this man shows up outside of the house, sitting in his car harassing us. We had to call 911 as we feared for our safety. We can completely understand if we were being too loud, as we had 8 friends from different states and cities reunited and were honestly just so happy to see each other and having a great time! Call the cops so they can tell us to be quiet, no problem. Call my phone to tell us we're being too loud, no problem! But to walk INTO a home in the middle of the night, through the back door, without knocking or calling is 100% unacceptable. The police called the actual home owner and they allowed us to stay, and the cops told Michael (the property management owner) to leave. Michaels lack of professionalism and common sense single handedly ruined our vacation and this is not taken lightly. We spoke with other business owners in the area, and turns out Michael is known to be "nuts" and "everyone knows he's crazy." SO THAT'S COMFORTING. We're all back at our homes now and safe, but this is something that needs to be known, especially with Murphys being such a small town. The one positive experience we did have with the company was a worker named Samantha, who was a kind, understanding human being. She took no side, but empathized knowing how terrifying that must have been.

There are 2 sides to every review and situation. The booking for this reservation was thru Airbnb for a Friday and Saturday night stay. • The booking agreement with Airbnb was violated by having more than the number of guests stated on the Airbnb reservation. • The Airbnb rule was violated by having a "party" in our property. • The "quiet time" rules from 10 pm to 8 am which is in the contract with Airbnb under House Rules was violated. • We had several complaints and numerous phone calls Friday night up until 12:30 AM from neighbors. In an effort not to involve the county Sheriff Department, an attempt was made to contact the occupants of the residence; the music was so loud that no one responded, after loudly knocking, was able to finally introduce myself as the owner of the property management company and requested you to shut it down NOW. Further explaining the phone calls from the neighbors and the noise ordinance, in effect after 10 PM. No further complaints were found after that late night conversation. • Saturday afternoon, a neighbor contacted my Front Desk staff stating that she was verbally abused by the occupants of the property and felt threatened, she recorded the verbal abuse on her from her yard, being yelled at using foul language and cursing at her for “turning us in” the previous night. I have the audio tape of this abuse. • After this encounter with the neighbor Saturday afternoon, Airbnb was contacted to request that you vacate the property for violation of the rules of conduct, which was so ordered, and the reservation was cancelled by Airbnb. • The county Sheriff was called Saturday afternoon/evening, a resolution to the situation was reached with the Sheriff and the property owner to allow the occupants to stay in the home after the cancelled Airbnb reservation terms, due to inebriated state of the occupants as a courtesy. It was agreed by all, not to have drunk drivers on the roads driving home or searching for a place to stay on a holiday weekend while being drunk and possibly injuring an innocent bystander. Having a good time with friends is one thing, verbally abusing innocent neighbors and being disrespectful of rules and regulations put into place for both parties involved, is another. You were profoundly disrespectful and rude.

This house was very nice. It had an updated kitchen and comfortable beds. The decor was also pleasing. Great comfortable sectional couches and lounger in the living room. The kitchen is well stocked with most of what you need to cook. The top shelf of the pantry was filled with leftover, opened and used food from past guests. It wasn’t a problem but it was odd. The bathrooms were fine (not updated since the 70’s maybe) and well located. The downstairs bedroom had no reading light or lamp so I had to use my iPhone flashlight. It has a gorgeous, well lit backyard and covered patio. Unfortunately the outdoor couches are super uncomfortable. We really couldn’t sit outside for very long on it. The cushions are old and faded and have no “Cush”. Also, Your head hits the hard edge of the couch back. Bummer, because it was perfect weather for enjoying the outdoors. There is a nice bench right outside the kitchen that seats 3 and is comfy and great for star gazing. The outside dinner table and chairs are a good size and would fit 8, I think. We enjoyed breakfast on the covered patio. It’s only a few minutes car ride to town. Walking to town is fifteen minutes or so. Coming back is uphill so a good workout but not something you want to do more than once in a day. All that being said we would definitely rent this house again. For the price we were thrilled. We would definitely recommend this place for family and friends.

Awesome stay at the Victoria Inn in Murphys. Location could not be beat. In the morning, with the balcony door open, it reminded me of Europe with the bustle of the cafe down below. Staff was so nice.
