We had a room on the 4th floor. It was quite small, but adequate, and the location was good for what we wanted to do. Having booked through TripAdvisor, and having a confirmation number, I was stunned to be told that there were no rooms....More

Honestly I'm a pretty easy going person. I read the reviews about the rooms being small (they are) but I was alone and the size felt like Europe. The bathroom was plenty large enough and the bed was comfortable. That's the good news. The hotel...More

Despite a comfortable bed and an adequate room, this place is really a dump. The walls are paper thin - I could hear every sniffle, shuffle, and sigh from the rooms next door. At least they were thick enough to keep out the strong smell...More

I do not recall a microwave in the room we stayed in. The room was somewhat small and there may not have been a proper spot to place one. Whether any of Clarion's guest rooms contain microwaves, I'd ask front desk personnel.

Not really. But I will say that Chinatown is only a few blocks away and, for me, I didn't find the walk dangerous. The streets, however, can appear dark and empty with stragglers hanging out on the street corners. Also, just down the street a bit is a pub connected to the Tribune Tower building which serves meals. But I think it shuts down at about 10. But it's decent food and safe.
