We had a 1 bed time share we had traded into Interval. Personally, I'm not a fan of Interval and find it hard getting places, but we got this 1 bed in Tahoe during Thanksgiving and so we decided to do it. The reviews were good and all in all we are very happy. You are right at Squaw so... More

The lodge is great for couples as well as families. Every unit has a nice size kitchen with everything you need to cook. The rooms are slightly dated--mountain, log cabin style. Its perfectly nice and better than the older condos/buildings on the mountain. You can ski in--but going out requires a short walk up the stairs; you clip in just... More

Absolutely gorgeous!!!! The staff was extremely helpful. We spend a much needed family time in the Tahoe Area with magnificent views, walking trails and outdoor activities. A genuinely unique mountain experience at an affordable price.

Peaceful surroundings, helpful staff, wonderful pancake breakfast on Mon morning, and refreshing root beer floats after our hike. The room was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was a nice addition and very convenient when you just want to whip up a quick meal on the go. Worthy of a comeback!

We went to a family wedding in Squaw Valley. The ceremony (and basically all 150 or so wedding guests) stayed at the venue where the wedding was going to be held. We needed the extra room because we were travelling with my mother and Red Wolfe Lodge had everything we needed and then some! For about $100 less than the... More

It has been a few weeks since we came back but I wanted to take time to write about this place. It is a part of Grand Pacific Palisades Resorts. I have visited properties in Carlsbad and many respects they match the nice experience from over there. The rooms are comfortable, amenities as well as available activities in the Squaw... More

Red Wolf Squaw Valley was the perfect place to spend the last days of our summer vacation, we did it all, starting with smores on the deck provided by the resort, swimming up at High Camp for the afternoon, a boat trip on the Tahoe Gal around the lake and all it's beauty, Tuesday Bluesday in the Village, a drive... We were at Tahoe for a wedding in August 2016. Our research turned up several options for accommodations, all of them were highly rated. The Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley caught our eye and the rest is the subject of this review. We didn't really know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. The lodge is a very short... More

They really did a great job and taking care of all our needs. From checking in to check it out. The rooms are very big the decor was beautiful the place very well kept. The staff very friendly. There was plenty of Jacuzzis. The temperature was good and the view of the mountains spectacular.

Spent a week here in August. While the location is good, directly adjacent to the Squaw Valley Village, that's about it. Units are noisy - you hear noise from all adjacent units and every step taken in a unit above you sounds like they're coming through the ceiling. Staffing is poor - no one on-site in the evenings. Spa and... More

Hello Folks from Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley. Were planning to stay in your property for the week Mar 29- Apr 5, 2015. Can you guys give me a heads up on what activities we can do during this time ( Im with my family). What weather do we expect for that week? What types of clothes do we need to prepare to feel comfortable as we go around the localities and cities that surround Lake Tahoe? Ill itemize my other queries here:

1. Were coming from Fairfield, CA and were renting a minivan, Do we need snow tires during this time of the year? We will be renting the van for 2 or more weeks, as we are venturing on a long road trip (with 2 or 3 1-2 day stopovers) from Olympic valley to San Diego.

2. This will be our first time to live in a ski resort. We dont ski and we dont have any bit of experience. What sort of activity can we do if it is totally unfamiliar to us?

3. What sort of seasonal activities/festivals/ events are expected in the surrounding areas of Olympic Valley, incl Incline Village, Tahoe City, Tahoe Vista, Stateline Nevada, Zephyr cove and south lake tahoe? Is it also worth to visit Reno?

4. Are there nearby convenient stores, supermarkets or even marketplace in Olympic valley? You may call us Mall rats, but my children's pastime is visiting and hanging out in malls. is there any nearby?

5. Are your outdoor pools heated? If not, do you have indoor pools that are heated? We dont have much body insulation (all of us are slender) and my kids are scared stiff of the idea of swimming in early spring cold weather.

Well, thats about all the things I need to ask. When something comes to mind, Ill come back. Thanks Guys in advance for your response, In the meantime, pls allow me to greet our future hosts a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous and Fulfilling New Year!
