Almost passed up this little diner after hiking in the redwoods. Fortunately we turned back and took a chance. Yum yum. Had a chili dog and fries that were delicious. Crispy wedge fries were fabulous. Chili was California chili with beans (not Texas chili) but keep an open mind! Yummy with cheese and onions. Good thing we had already hiked...

We found this place close to the street by chance, and it was looking like a nice place to sleep. When we opened the door to our room, we were transferred to 1920! Old and weak furniture in bad condition. It was cold and the room was heated by an old electric heater. I was afraid that this thing could...

We found this place by accident searching for somewhere to eat breakfast. It does not look like much from the outside and is a bit run down inside. But the service was very good, People were friendly and we had a well cooked breakfast . Home made blackberry jam was delicious.

The room has bed bugs as you can see in other reviews. The kitchen is way out of date and the conditions are horrible! The food was not good and the workers looked like they were on drugs! This place is a NO GO for any travelers and should be avoided! Found a needle with blood in it under the...

My motel of first resort when I make my annual treks to the Redwoods. It puts you mere minutes away from the utterly amazing Newton B Drury Scenic Hwy 101 bypass, the Ladybird Johnson Grove, & the Tall Trees Trail (for which you'll need a special pass from the PineCreek Ranger Station just south of Trinidad). Ive stayed here perhaps...

This place was a gem in the rough and Spencer at the desk was very friendly. He was very accommodating and we would...

Room had a bad infestation of bed bugs. They refunded the money after we showed them the bugs crawling on the pillows and bed. Worried all our stuff is infested now. My brother even had one on his lap after we changed and got in the car. The room smelled like dogs the mattress smelled like dogs as well

We had a reservation for two nights so that we could visit the redwoods. After the first night we discovered bedbugs crawling everywhere. We had to throw away our suitcases and all off our belongings. After showing the employees the bugs and a picture of what a bedbug is on Google they refunded our money and we left. We spent...

Needed a place to stay whilst heading up California's north coast. A room was available and the price was right. This hotel needs some TLC as it easily shows how tired it is. But, for me, a hotel need to be clean, comfortable and safe and although the room needs an update, it was just fine.

Good diner food (burgers and fries, breakfast), but the appearance of the restaurant, both inside and out, is a disaster. We would never have stopped if I hadn't read about it on TripAdvisor. I'm surprised it can pass state food inspections, but hey, we ate their twice (nothing else available) and would give the food a B-B+.
