Hubby and I were looking for a brief getaway in a comfortable place. I say comfortable because a lot of hotel rooms are NOT designed for comfort. You usually provide a comfortable bed and then the hotel expects you will spend a lot of time out of the room. The millenials seem to want hard chairs with low backs while we...

When we heard the sad news that the owner, Mel Haber, of our enchanted get away, The Ingleside Inn, passed away, my husband and I were so sorry for the loss of such an icon in Palm Springs. Under his ownership, the Ingleside Inn has been a classic, historical, beautiful, hide away inn for over 50 years . The Inn...

This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel. It is quite delightful. Beautiful grounds, comfy bed, quality linens. Love the pool area, in a large garden setting. Always quiet, even when the hotel was fully booked. Breakfast on the veranda, lunch on the veranda or in the dining room and dinner in the bar area or in...

This place is tired and shabby. Not sure why everyone raves about it - teneous link with some celebrities does not make a good hotel. Very uncomfortable beds and old fashioned AC blasting out. I travel a lot around the world and I would rather select a chain hotel than this one Throw a Couple of millions at it -...

This property is exquisite and the service generally impeccable. It has a very low key atmosphere so if you are looking for exciting loud music don't bother. Instead you get tranquility in a beautiful landscape hard to find. I understand it has been bought and hope the new owners will take into account that there are plenty of the more...

Was there for a milestone birthday celebration for a friend who lives in Palm Springs. I had very pleasant memories of dinners at Melvyn's through the years, so I decided to stay at the Ingleside Inn. The reviews I read were for the most part quite favorable, so I went with pretty high expectations. I was not disappointed! My room...

We spend our 25th Wedding Anniversary at this Inn...OMG..what an awesome room and staff. The room had its own patio, his and her closets, fireplace and a yummy bed. They have an small refrigerator in the closet and all the items in the refrigerator were free...very nice touch. This is an awesome place to stay at any time.

The Ingelside Inn is the perfect "old school" Palm Springs experience. Not mid-century modern, but Spanish-style hacienda. It feels like you are staying at a friend's compound in Montecito. Beautiful pool area with plenty of padded lounge chairs and an expansive grass area. The property is a block off of Palm Canyon, in the heart of the village, but you...

Just doing an update on Tripadvisor - we stayed in October 2015 and met up with old friends we met the year before. Always a lovely inn to stay - loads of character great longtime staff - cant complain. The inn has character and has its flaws. ..hope it never changes. We stayed in September 2016 a quieter time in...

Palm Springs is known for its mid century designs and amazing celebrity vacation homes from yester year. The Ingleside Inn does not fit into the densely populated craze of revamped motels from the 50's and 60's. Its history goes much deeper, and its place in the history of Palm Springs is much more prominent. For decades it was a hideaway...
