Beautiful property. All personnel were friendly, professional and helpful. The pool area was delightful. Breakfast was good. Eggs Benedict was cooked as I requested. Waiter was very attentive and pleasant. The only complaint I have was the noise of the doors near our room. Great restaurants nearby.

"May I offer you a glass of wine?" was how we were greeted when we arrived to the gorgeous Colony Palms Hotel. We quickly learned that there was also delicious iced tea available, excellent coffee in the morning and a LA Times newspaper all FREE in the lobby. They upgraded our room so we had a small patio before entering...

I've stayed at The Colony Palms twice, both times the staff was LESS than accommodating but I loved the pool so I had tried it the second time and again was DISAPPOINTED. My casita was like a Tijuana cell block with concrete floors and it was outrageously overpriced for the few amenities and rude staff. Because of the grounds I...

So I guess they have new owners. I'm sure that they have made some very nice improvements to the property but the two that were visible to us seemed like a step backward. First, the awesome Moroccan style cabanas were replaced with plain white ones. Snore. Second, the cocktail menu is totally different. We used to come every time we...

The pool and restaurant are beautiful, though there are hotels with better views. However, the rooms are small and tired. The arrangement with all the them around the pool provides for little privacy.

Dear HelenaW1026, Thank you for taking the time to review us. Fortunately, I am happy to report we have refreshed all the rooms: new floors, new mattresses and linens, and refreshed bathrooms. Our secluded Casitas, in the garden area, offer plenty of privacy. Each one with a private patio offering peace and quiet. We have completely renovated our Spa and...

This is one of the most charming small hotels that Palm Springs is known for. It is historical and filled with beautiful foliage/Gardens and a great central pool in the courtyard. I absolutely love the 1930s Spanish-meets-Moroccan decor. However, some of the decor and outdoor furniture is getting a bit worn, many rooms leave a bit to be desired and...

The staff was very well trained and extremely helpful. The location is ideal as it is close to the many food and entertainment locations. Building is in great shape and is user friendly. Rooms were very clean and updated. Very comfortable bed. My wife actually went to sleep before I did! Enjoy this gem but look online for your best...

I stumbled upon this hotel randomly a few years ago when I was in Palm Springs. I was absolutely blown away by how amazing the grounds were and how much character the place has. It's been my go to spot in Palm Springs ever since. I love how lush the landscaping is and the private enclave feel. Plus, the Spanish...

Great getaway hotel. We loved the pool and grounds. Incredibly well maintained, quiet and lovely pool and hot tub areas. The hot tub has little alcoves that create space and make it nice even when other people are there too. There's many little quiet areas throughout grounds to relax, read or sit by a fire. The bar and restaurant are...

This hotel is one block from the main Street, so it is very walkable for dining and shopping. The Deluxe King room had a nice shower, a comfy bed, nice linens, and a well stocked bar. Originally built in 1936 by reputed Purple Gang Mobster Al Wertheimer, the Colony Palms Hotel was once a saloon, speakeasy and gambling house that later became a playground for Hollywood ICONS including Humphrey Bogart, Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin & Rita Hayworth. Colony Palms Hotel has maintained its nobility as a stunning four-star boutique hotel spread out over a three acre property. The rooms promise subtle sophistication with brilliantly colored mosaic tiles and fabrics, rich woods, and suzani headboards. Many have fireplaces and claw-foot bathtubs. Mature gardens throughout the property provide privacy, and intimate outdoor spaces, and the rooms open to the a central courtyard with pool. The hotel’s restaurant, the Purple Palm boasts exquisite cuisine and a stunning view of both the pool and San Jacinto Mountains. The newly redesigned Spa offers a serene atmosphere and top of the line treatments. Colony Palms Hotel also plays host to a variety of stunning weddings and events, with the option of utilizing a newly refreshed private event space or a full property buyout for a truly intimate celebration.
