More than friendly staff, free tea and coffee in the bar, and an awesome location with plenty of great restaurants, bars and cafes in nearby Palo Alto, which is beautiful. Half an hour lovely walk to Stanford, ideal place to stay.

First off this location is incredible, it's right in the heart of Palo Alto. It's within walking distance of the caltrain station and a bunch of great bars and restaurants. It's definitely walkable to most places you would want to hit in the city, but Uber is a great option as well. The shared bathroom/shower is a bit inconvenient, but...

Cardinal is a good place to stay for business as well was leisure purposes. The rooms are well furnished, with TV and all necessary amenities; even a iron and ironing board and a hairdryer. The lobby has complimentary coffee and tea counters 24x7, and it also has a business centre wth printing options and internet connections. along with that there...

I was a little nervous after hearing the bathrooms are shared for some rooms. That is not accurate. Not all rooms have a shower. All rooms have a restroom. Most rooms have showers. Call ahead to verify. Great restraints very close by.

This place stinks. Literally, it smells so bad here. The rooms are tiny but the smell in the halls and room is ghastly. Only 2 towels in the bathroom and not even a bath mat to put down. Ther room is so tiny you don't even really have space for luggage.

Walk to everything. Very reasonable pricing for Palo Alto for a small but very clean and comfortable room if you are willing to lodge European style (sinks only in the rooms) with two very nice showers and two separate restrooms down the hall. We stayed for a week and never once had to wait for either - and the hotel...

I have been with this hotel for more than twenty years. However , my experience is just a short part of this hotel. You can find many gems of historical foot prints at every wall, floor and even in air if you stay here. Yes, this is an old one. but rooms are equiped with leading edge digital gears. You...

I stayed at the cardinal for a few days while traveling for work. It's location is very convenient to Stanford if you're visiting the area for that purpose. I wasn't, I was attending a conference in Mountain View, but that's just a short Uber ride from the Cardinal. The area the hotel is situated in is great, with plenty of...

When I first walked, I was worried that the Cardinal wasbgoing to prove to be old and dumpy. How wrong that was! The Cardinal has a feel from the past with the modern furnishings we have come to expect. The lobby is spacious and comfortable. My room wasn't large, but big enough for my needs and had all the basics....

The location alone is a selling point for the Cardinal. It's a short walk to everything on the main drag in Palo Alto. I stayed here for a few days on business and enjoyed my stay. Despite the hotel being historic, the rooms were updated and very comfortable. Staff was friendly, even though I only interacted with them during the...
