With the owner meeting us with a friendly greeting at the front door, already knew this was going to be a nice place. It was far past our expectation. Warm and friendly; rooms nicely appointed; glorious sheets; wine in the evenings, and tasty breakfasts. What more could you ask for. Walkiing distance to town (for meals), yet far enough for...

First time B&B visit. Because I had a wonderful and memorable time, I am a B&B girl!! I felt spoiled and at home. Great food, wine and hostesses. My friend and I worked during the day and looked forward to an evening of relaxation! Great location. Within walking distance to the cute little town of Placerville. Near delicious wineries and...

Rita & Stephanie innkeepers are the Best! Very friendly and accommodating. The B & B is convenient to town, short walking distance over a footbridge. A lot of nice restaurants a short walk from the foot of the bridge. Rita made a great suggestion for each of the three nights we were there. We were greeted upon arrival with bottle...

We had the attic room, actually a suite with a large sitting room, perfect for reading books from their large library. The Innkeepers make you feel genuinely welcome. They have included thoughtful touches like earplugs (the house is on Highway 49 so you could hear traffic without them) and they ask about food allergies even before you arrive!Rita's restaurant recommendations...

We were looking for a romantic weekend, away from the bustle of the SF Bay Area, and definitely wanted a warm, friendly B&B experience. That we found at the Shafsky House. Rita and Stephanie's beautiful home was just what we were looking for. The attention to detail was superb, in bedroom and bath, and we loved the privacy and warmth...

We felt very welcomed into this adorable home. Our room felt as though we traveled back in time. The bed was very comfortable and cozy and everything was clean and well appointed. The breakfasts! oh my, completely yum. Be ready to do a lot of walking to work off some of the calories!

We stayed one night with Rita and Stephanie who made us feel right at home and like we were family. The place has lots of charm and a scrumptious breakfast! We would highly recommending staying here if you are in the area.

I stayed a pleasant 5 nights at the Albert Shafsky House. The staff is very helpful and I felt a part of the neighborhood. Each morning a different delicious healthy breakfast was served. I particularly liked their use of seasonal fruits and vegetables. Freshly brewed coffee is available at any time. The rooms reminded me of a lovely B and...

We Looked online and found thid charming and comfortable B&B, I love the rooms especially Alberta's Attic. The decore of the whole house is just a mind blower. There is so much detail everywhere you look. The room we chose had a sitting room, with comfortable wingback recliners and after a fun day of exploring its was such a comfort...
