Once again my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Black Heron Inn. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck overlooking the Inverness countryside. Our room was clean and lovely. The breakfast was great with many choices there in the comfort of our room. We especially appreciated having a "real" coffee maker to make a full... More

Stayed just one night at the Black Heron Inn while on a road trip, but I'll certainly plan to return. We stayed in the upstairs "Grand View" room. It lives up to it's name with a great view looking down Tomales Bay. In addition to the windowed lounge, there's also a nice outdoor porch with the same view. A great... More

We're always looking for places to stay when we're in Point Reyes and think we may have found the place. The reviews on Trip Advisor were spot on. We especially liked the gorgeous meadow view with the bay in the background, and the location, close enough to town but far enough away to enjoy nature in a peaceful setting.

Stayed midweek. Secluded, quiet location, away from the busy road on the peninsula where other motels and B&B are located, but still a very short drive to Point Reyes Station and the peninsula. Gorgeous view out our large windows in front of the dining table and from our large deck, comfortable easy chairs and bed, beautiful decor, very large room.... More

Chance and luck guided me to the Black Heron Inn when I was looking for accommodations for a special get-away to celebrate an approaching milestone for my husband. Although a little tricky to find the first time, we LOVED being at the end of a country lane (aka narrow winding dirt road) with an outlook across open land that rolls... More

Enjoyed the hospitality of our hosts, the yummy breakfast they left in our room for us, and the incredible view and adjacent hiking. Only spent one night before going on to Point Reyes National Seashore and San Francisco but could see how this could be a very relaxing getaway. Very quiet and peaceful with plenty of wildlife sightings. No phone... More

Lovely view wth a deck. The room was very clean and the continental breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The location is a great launching point for visiting Pt. Reyes National Sea Shore. Short ride into town for dinner or groceries.

My wife and I recently spent 3 nights at the Black Heron Inn. All we can say is everything was perfect. Our suite was very clean, beautifully appointed, and had amazing views. The continental breakfast left in our suite for us was more than enough. The home made breads were delicious. We'll be back for sure.

We loved this B&B. Beautiful view of the preserve. Sunsets were gorgeous. We stayed in Grandview suite. Easy access to hiking and close to Point Reyes Station. Family of deer fed through while we had breakfast. Owners stock the room with simple breakfast so you don't have to worry about a schedule.

This is our third stay at The Black Heron Inn. And as with the past two times, we really enjoyed our two night stay. We stayed in the Ridge View room, the same room that we stayed in previously. It is so quiet here. The views from the deck and from the front window are just fantastic. The room is... More
