I reserved a handicapped accessible room here for a friend and her caregiver who were visiting us. I was a little nervous because of some of the negative reviews on Tripadvisor, but my friend was thrilled with the room and had a great stay. The office even sent someone to help the caregiver when my friend fell and they enjoyed...

This is my 10 or 11th time staying here in the last 5 yrs. It's close to Ventura, harbors, Oxnard, restaurants and shopping. The rooms are big and comfortable and always clean. This hotel is usually priced better than most....and I DO MEAN MOST! However, Casa Via Mar....when are you going to do something about your nasty showers..? Every time...

We stayed here for two nights when on a kayak adventure to Anacapa Island. The rooms were large and beds were comfortable. They have a nice upstairs breakfast room with plentiful choices for breakfast. The location is central, but not too scenic. Down the road are grocery stores and fast food of many types. In the rear of the hotel...

This was one of the poorest "value for the dollar" hotels that I've ever stayed. The room was dark, dank, with a thread-worn carpet. The furnishing were at least 30 years old, thrift shop quality. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. It was noisy, especially the hallway outside. We were only given one thin bath towel which appeared very institutional....

For $135 a night for our stay, this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. The tub was stained and it felt like I was going to step through it. The carpets were stained, there was a cigarette burn through the comforter and into the blanket, the air conditioner didn't work very well and the room smelled strongly of air...

While this isn't a "high-end" place it certainly is clean and convenient at a VERY fair price! We stay here often when visiting Oxnard. Easy drive to beaches and shopping, eatery etc. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for value.

This has gone downhill over the last year. I have stayed here over 30 days in the last year usually 5 -10 days at a time for business. The carpets have become not dirty but filthy over that time. The “breakfast” was good at one time but has been lacking as of late. For 5 days I watched one lonely...

For just a last minute stopover due to tiredness from driving, we weren't expecting much but what a fabulous surprise this place turned out to be. So Hispanic in the designs all around. The staff gave us free popcorn upon arrival and as a keen tennis player I was able to have a hit for free in the morning as...
