The staff is fantastic and the room itself was very clean and inviting. Linens were fresh, plenty of towels, and the Jacuzzi was to die for! The staff was also very courteous. We left out pillows behind and they called us to let us know. We appreciated their honesty so much that we made reservations to go back. Would we...

The staff is nice but the location makes this one star. The highway isn't as bad as the property behind it. Got in late and was awakened by some kids loudly riding dirt bikes. Don't come to Quincy if you want relaxing. The kids around all drive their loud trucks & motor bikes as fast(45mph in a 25mph) and dangerous...

We are sorry this customer did not have a restful stay. We are located on the only highway through town, this situation makes it very easy to locate us but yes there can be some road noise. Unfortunately we can not control either the highway or the businesses located around us. Many of our patrons do enjoy walks and hikes...

We decided to visit the Quincy area to view the fall colors and chose the Gold Pan Lodge for our stay. It was very easy to find right off the highway and had plenty of parking. The check in was very quick and efficient, Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were given information for the nice Continental breakfast and...

Quincy is a destination town. It is not on a major highway. You just want to go to Quincy. Regardless it is a nice area and nice town. All of the motels are rather old. However, the Gold Pan Lodge is one of the better places to stay.

This is a different sort of review. I have never stayed at the Gold Pan Lodge. But, the Gold Pan Lodge was very kind and helpful to me recently. You see, we had flown from Vancouver to Reno on Alaska Airline. The airline somehow lost our suitcase. We had to drive to our destination, and were told the suitcase would...

I'm upgrading my rating of the Gold Pan Lodge from a couple of years ago from 3 to 4 dots. The management has clearly been putting money into the facility. Our room had things like newer carpet, nice mattress, a flat screen TV (Sacramento stations). They have many, many DVDs in the office where there is fresh coffee, tea, as...

I travel all over doing my comedy hypnosis shows so I stay at all kinds of hotels. Janice (manager), Emily (her daughter) and Kristin were extremely helpful. The water was hot, the drains worked fine, the water pressure was great and the room was clean. Nostalgic decor. Housekeeping bent over backwards to meet our crazy schedule. The price was more...

Went there for a weekend getaway. They had a pet room that wasn't huge but clean, warm & comfortable. Most places give you a room you wouldn't put your worst enemy in, let alone yourself & your pet & the beds tend to be extremely hard. There was a hot water issue that was dealt with immediately, & a stimulating...

We've stayed at numerous motels in Quincy, and the Gold Pan is better than most. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. That said, the breakfast was variable (some days had fewer items) and had little seating, and the same price would buy you many more amenities in a different location.

After a long hot day on the bike was looking forward to a soak in the in room spa. To bad the intake screen was missing and about sucked my hand in! When I told the front desk about it they already knew, but rented the room anyway. Charged extra for it also. Most rooms seemed to be occupied by...
