Several weeks ago whilst en route to the Flinders Ranges we took a break from our camping holiday to spend 2 nights in Ruby Cottage at Taralee Orchards. After 10 days of rain and wind it was heaven to come out of the cold into a lovely, warm (wood fire and a/c), well kept, timber eco cottage located adjacent to... More

I'm sure there are many little gems in this area, but Taralee Orchards is surely one of those. We had two nights in Ruby cottage over the October long weekend. It's spacious, clean and well equipped and the wooden combustion heater a big hit with everyone. This is a great base to explore the local region and come home in... More

Peaceful and pretty location overlooking the blossom from the apricot trees. Great walks through the forrest teaming with local birds. We purchased some organic apricots and medlar jelly along with organic beef.

We spent 5 nights at Ruby Cottage while on a bush walking holiday. We received a warm welcome from Denise and Paul and Met Jet the dog and Gypsy the goat. The cottage was surprisingly spacious with a really homely comfortable vibe. We loved it! There was lots of seating, comfy beds with electric blankets and hot water bottles provided.... More

Ruby Cottage is one of two cottages available for rent at Taralee Orchard. Very comfortable, quiet and cosy on the edge of a fruit orchard within Wirrabarra Forest. We chose Taralee Orchard because of it's location near to the Heysen Trail.

Have been here before and wanted to come back for a longer stay. This time we spent 2 nights here. Well-equipped 2-bedroom cottage (Ruby Cottage) with lounge room, dining, kitchen and laundry and bathroom. Used the fire one day as it was cool but also to dry the washing as it was overcast. Very good bed but had some squeaks.... More

A group of us stayed here two Easters in a row. The location is fantastic. Very quiet and tranquil. We stayed in both Ruby Cottage and Apricot Cottage. Both cottages were well equipped with everything that you could possibly need (including hair straightner). They were very clean and tidy. The full kitchen was fantastic for cooking our meals and the... More

We stayed at Taralee Orchards for several nights. We stayed in the guest house, which was fine. We even put a fire one to take off the evening chill, which was quite romantic. The fire was a wood-burning combustion fire, which threw out a lot of heat. This is a working farm, no-one has enough time to bother you. We... More

What a gem of a place! Taralee Orchards biodynamic farm is situated across the quiet dirt road from the stunning Wirrabara Forest. A 2 bedroom self contained cottage with everything ( and some ) you could possibly need. Denise and her lovely kids have been wonderful hosts ( they live in the "big" house across the large orchard). Excellent comfy... More

Recently stayed in the Apricot cottage with my family for the weekend. The service was fantastic with the friendly family providing us with some great tips on walking trails nearby and an overall pleasant experience. The room was very well kept and we could see the amount of time they spend on making sure their rooms are in top condition.... More
