There's a reason the rooms at the Delta King in Sacramento are pretty affordable. They are tiny. Remember, this is an actual former river boat. The doorways are all low, the passageways narrow. But there's the romance of feeling like Hercule Poirot heading down the River Nile. Anyway, a two-bed room will be one area with a queen bed and...

Clean and comfortable cabin Helpful staff Sacremento is a beautiful green and clean city Avoid Old Sacremento which is very touristy and walk into midtown Lots of nice bars and restaurants shops galleries and beautiful houses. Lovely to sit on the deck of the hotel watching the river with a good glass of wine Would recommend the Delta King for...

We spent 1 night and experienced an amazing fireworks display thanks to the River Cats game! The bar was very enjoyable, we ate, drank and enjoyed the live entertainment. The rooms are small and the bathrooms "tiny" but that is to be expected as part of the riverboat and old Sacramento experience. Front desk was extremely accommodating in getting us...

This hotel has character! I'm usually someone who stays at trusted hotel chains, so I was a little nervous about staying at an older, boutique hotel (I was in Sac for business). It's on a boat, and I did notice that it's at a slight slant. I fell out of bed and hit my head on the wall the first...

I recently stayed on the Delta King when I was at a conference in Sacramento and every other hotel was sold out or over $500. If you need to be near Old Town Sac, the location and the price can't be beat. And while far from a luxury experience, it was interesting to say the least and fitting for the...

We stayed on the Delta King over Christmas Eve. Everything closed down earlier than usual but we still had a great time. We had dinner and drinks in the restaurant/bar. The food is very good. We had a little bit of trouble checking in.. Mainly because I had a coupon, and long story short, those things rarely work smoothly... We...

Not the Delta Queen or Mississippi Queen. This is on the Sacramento River just a hop skip & a jump down the mountain from our home town of Clearlake. Those other steam boats we took in different vacations as they cruised the rivers back east. The King was retired years ago but still active as a restaurant & hotel. That...

We went in Feb and caught the winter rate of 79.00 with made to order breakfast, the rooms have kept the old steamboat magic, the bathrooms with pull chain toilets that are gravity fed, the old time showers, to the brass beds all was fun stay and next to the boat is all the old town attractions

The rooms are old and small but take you back in time. If you like an adventure, going back in time and the water you will love the Delta King. Rooms get very hot in the Summer, the air conditioning doesn't work well. Great Restaurant and Bar... Lots of fun things to do and see around old town Sacramento. Valet...

Then stay here. It is worth making a special trip just to spend a few days here. Strloll down to Old Sacramento along the river. People who like river boats tend to like trains. Hear the train whistles,it's all part of the Old Sacramento experience. Sometimes there is a band, which adds to the River Boat atmosphere. The staff is...
