The first thing I had to do when I entered my room was kill a gigantic tick and report a clogged toilet. My room had numerous stains on the furniture and no free outlets except in the bathroom. This is an old, rundown hotel with few modern perks. I did appreciate the shuttle ride to the airport and the friendly... More

Not a bad place to stay but very noisy due to surrounded freeways! They hand out earplugs. It's more of a drone so it's not too bad sleeping but not relaxing at all. The wifi is so bad that it is more frustrating than the traffic noise. We are here for the marathon. It's very close to the bus pick... More

This hotel had the most comfortable bed compared to most hotels I've stayed in including expensive ones. The location is within a block of freeway on-ramp, but there was virtually NO road noise! It is centrally located in downtown Sacramento making navigation very easy.

The Vagabond Inn staff made me feel at home. The room was comfortable especially the bedding. The convenient location is across from the Amtrak station. The TV had many free movies and local programming. My room was within walking distance of fabulous Old Town. Freeway noise sometimes got a little loud but the heater drown much of it out.

Don't eat in the restaurant. It's very dirty and rundown. The main guy was rude to my daughter, but he looked so unkept I dare not engage in a conversation. The juice tastes like dishwater. My coffee cup had lipstick marks.

For the price, you can't beat the location. The room was itself was pretty good, comfy bed and good size. The bathroom was pretty dingy, old with some stains and toilet had a loose base. Breakfast was a big spread - eggs, pancakes, sausages, potatoes, biscuits. The set-up was cramped, though, with everyone kind of bumping into each other while... More

Good hotel within walking distance of Old Town Sacramento, downtown, capitol, Golden 1 Arena, and Amtrak station. They feature a pretty good above average breakfast and a pool. The room was fairly clean and had modern looking decor and design. There's also free coffee/tea in an open work area behind the lobby. I would come back based on the convenient... More

This place was great for what we needed...which was a quick, one night stay before our Amtrak trip the next day. Staff was great. Room was adequate, nothing bad. Very close, walking distance to Old Sacramento. And, of course, walking distance to the Amtrak station.

So the hotel itself is nice, updated, pretty good breakfast. The location is great in downtown Sac and I knew it was next to the freeway. So I asked for a room in the back away from the freeway. The problem is the door literally has a one-inch gap at the bottom and a window above the door. It's an... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about your stay with us. We do apologize for the issues faced with your rooms location. Sometimes being located near a freeway can be both a blessing and a curse. We do hope to see you again the next time you visit the Sacramento area. More
