I've always heard great things about this property and finally had the chance to experience it. What a beautiful gem! I felt like I am staying in an enchanted property. The grounds are gorgeous. The rooms were spacious. Overall this place is beautiful and hope to have the pleasure to stay again!

We checked into a fabulous room equipped with a fireplace overlooking a vineyard for a 3 evening stay. From the moment we arrived the staff at the Harvest Inn treated us like royalty with concierge Josh S helping us set appointments for wine tastings and assisting us with advice on points of interests in the area.... Great Job Josh! I...

The vineyard view room on the 2nd floor was lovely and there was a bottle of wine waiting for us...the grounds are stunning, the fire place was so homey, we enjoyed the huge bathroom and the breakfast spread was excellent. Also, the hot tub near the pool was so luxuriously warm, it was the perfect way to wind down after...

We just spent 3 nights in a vineyard view room that's we had stayed in a few months ago while I was attending a boot camp course at the CIA. My husband raved about the breakfasts, and the lovely grounds which I did not get a chance to enjoy because of my class schedule, Our return trip was fabulous. The...

We had such a nice time in 2015 we returned and the Harvest Inn is where we feel welcome and experience great service, accommodations and food. There is a large breakfast buffet with indoor and outdoor heated seating. We enjoyed a lunch upon arrival and enjoyed the variety and the quality of the food. Our room had a vineyard view...

Really happy with setting and location. A large campus with many buildings, courtyards, pools, etc...convenient location surrounded by vineyards and views behind. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool and fire pit at sunset. The breakfast buffet is included and it's very well done. Service is kind and enthusiastic. We were very appreciative of the hotel car to get to...

Go here in the Spring! You get to experience all the best without paying premium Harvest season prices! We stayed here Spring of 2016 for a few nights during our 10 day California to Portland road trip and were blown away by the quality for how inexpensive the rooms were. The room itself was very spacious with a HUGE bathroom...

We're thinking this is maybe the best room we've ever stayed in. Housekeeping is immaculate. Maintenance is perfect. This is a 2 story suite with the bed upstairs. Full bath up and downstairs. 2 fireplaces. The staff greet us every morning for breakfast with great enthusiasm. The deck was so gigantic that I thought we had to share it initially....

We were walk-ins (long story and never have done this before) and got one of the last rooms available. It was probably the worst room in the place and we loved it! It was in the main building, above the restaurant, no outside space, non-functioning fireplace, very limited view, part of it of the a/c units, but still extremely well...

My wife and I stayed here in January of 2017 and got lucky with a gorgeous weekend one week after the whole area was flooding. The property is beautifully landscaped and the staff is generally very friendly and solicitous of their guests. The room was very comfortable, with a kind of 70's-80's style that might put off people who are...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Voted the #3 hotel in Northern California by Condé Nast Traveler's Readers Choice Awards 2016, Harvest Inn by Charlie Palmer is an idyllic resort designed to celebrate the vineyard way of life, with 78 luxurious accommodations nestled into five uniquely crafted neighborhoods, two secluded swimming pools, and a plush spa with indoor and outdoor facilities. Surrounded by the lush landscaping of expansive clipped lawns and serene shaded groves, partially forested by towering redwoods, Harvest Inn also is home to gardens of agricultural botanicals. Although well situated in proximity to the hub of activity in historic St Helena, Harvest Inn offers picturesque privacy and a "let's get lost" feeling of total relaxation. In classic California fashion, the architecture and land are in harmony, making Harvest Inn an integral part of the terrain. The distinctive mixing of heritage and modern style seen in the richly stained wood, leaded glass panels, and exterior stone as well as Tudor stucco with timber framing adds up to a storybook setting that is both rustic and elegant. As comfortable as it is beautiful, Harvest Inn welcomes both families and friends with its charming warmth and friendly ambiance. ... more   less
