My husband and I spend our New Year's Eve at The Meadowood and dinned at The Restaurant. We both enjoyed the staying, the room was very cozy, clean and the surrounding was very quiet. The resort staffs were all very nice and helpful. I surely would like to go back on our next special occasion.
A fantastic property - a jewel and an oasis. Not hard to want to stay and never leave - courteous staff, excellent food, fantastic spa treatments and heavenly rooms. The property is hilly and for those that want to walk around (or be taken by golf cart by very responsive staff) it is ideal.
This resort is lovely. It is a little farther out in St. Helena but worth the extra drive. Fantastic tennis courts and multiple pools. The staff really us wonderful. The housekeeping was impeccable (and I am picky) and went the extra effort. My only "issue" was the lack of restaurants but we just hopped into an Uber into lovely downtown St Helena. I also did not make it to the spa but the reputation is top notch. We will be back!
The property is lovely and the staff is impeccable;however, if you stay during Christmas you must be aware that many of the amenities that make the property so appealing will not be available. It was disappointing to pay top prices during the holidays and not be able to access full amenities.
This is a beautiful property with wonderful rooms, great service, and beautiful moss-covered rocks. Our group of four hired a croquet coach to show us how to play on their official regulation croquet lawn. Be sure to wear white or khaki clothing! But they said belts, shoes and hats did not have to be white (you might fact check that for yourself). Just do it. It was a blast.
