The facility is nice, but they sure do try to squeeze every dollar out of you. It seemed a little pricey to me, over $220, but we were in town for the Makers Faire. Extra charge for parking, the gate system was broken anyway, so you had to buzz in every time anyway. They never verified that you were a...

At these high-end Marriott hotel properties, it absolutely pays to be a Rewards Member for the special deals on room prices and free Wi-Fi (big bucks right there). Outdoor Parking Lot is still $24 per day with in/out privileges but we got a great deal on a king bed/suite for $150 per night when the standard room king bed was...

Close to highway 101 and 92, nice place, spacious room and good service. I love the convenience of it. Will stay there again. 15 minutes to San Francisco Airport. But it's further away from San Mateo downtown where you can catch Caltrain or BART to the city. You will need a bar to get around. That's the only drawback.

It was not a pleasant experience for me, though I have stayed in other Marriott properties. Following are the ones, which made my stay unpleasant: 1. Spiders (big & small) in the room 2. Wifi is not that great. It was connecting and disconnecting often. Surprising for a hotel in the silicon valley area. 3. Check in process was not...

Positives: this hotel is very easy to get to by car, it's just off the 101/92 interchange so you can quickly get to the airport or San Jose on 101 or East Bay or Half Moon Bay on 92. The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern. It was easy to work in my room with a good desk and good...

I was there as the hotel to meet a colleague and wanted to check if we could get a room for a night. This was at wee hours and the kind of service and warmth I experienced was exceptional. We actually booked a room and came back in few hours with the luggage and we were there much earlier to...

We got there after 10pm after a missed flight. The long day ended on a positive note due to the valet and front desk manager being so warm. We liked our room on an upper floor. It was a one night stay, so we did not explore more of the property.

Though it was very busy and maybe slightly understaffed, everyone was helpful and cheerful. The restaurant food was very good and the atmosphere was nice too. Room was clean and had a great nights sleep.

While obvious, I think this hotel is a good hotel with some rooms that need work. My room had an AC problem - too much of a mildew smell when it was on. It also had some signs that water had leaked above the shower. However, everything else was perfect. If it were not for the AC/Mildew problem, I would...

I want to say a big thank you to Craig Cordova from the Marriott San Mateo. During a recent stay I was responsible for coordinating the reservations for six individuals. There were numerous adjustments to their reservations as people changed when they were going to arrive and checkout. Through it all Craig assisted me with the changes and made sure...
