Arrived late. Not a problem the man on the front desk was lovely. Really quick and friendly. Room was large and clean. Maybe a little old but suited our needs perfectly. Place to put our head for one night and was great. Would happily return.

We stayed here overnight for an early morning tour of Hearst Castle. The front desk staff was very friendly and provided recommendations on where to eat and what to do on our night there. We stayed in a nicely sized first floor room, but the bathroom was in dire need of renovations. There were mildew stains in the ceiling and...

I cannot say that it was very cheap considering that it is a Motel. There are many motels/ hotels on the same strip - I would rather go for other location. Even it states that breakfast is included - they give you only $4 per person to the closest restaurant which will definitely charge you at least $15 per person...

My eyes were stinging from the fumes of cleaning pinesol. I opened the windws and door to air the room out. The carpet was pretty stained. The pool looked green. I've stayed at both this place and the best western next door. The best western beats this place any day. Even though the Sands is a little cheaper you get...

Stayed here after a long driving day and found the motel to provide good value with tidy and clean rooms, near the ocean and right next door to a restaurant (which is annex to a Best Western hotel) where breakfast was available but the guests only receive some vouchers which will be good for a muffin and a drink or...

We recently did a 6 day trip up the Central Coast. San Simeon was our first stop and stayed here. We chose this motel because it was pet friendly and didn't want to stay at a Motel 6. We were not disappointed. Clean, good size room with a comfy bed and a sliding glass door to let in the fresh...

We had a lovely, super clean room with a huge bathroom and an amazing shower. The place was perfectly located halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles and was a perfect place to stop for the night and just relax. Receptionist was so nice and so helpful. The whole area is so beautiful. So glad we chose San Simeon.

Room clean and tidy but had a smokey smell which surprised me as we had no smoking rooms. Well placed location on the beach and handy for restaurants (short walk) was fine for one night stay but wouldn't want a long stay.

The room was clean but dated. It had an unpleasant smell as many beachside hotels do. The nearby restaurant the Cavalier was mediocre. The beach access was great. There was sitting available by fires. It was a great place to end the day and watch the sunset.

Stopped here for the night on the way up the PCH. Room and motel is clean and simple with all you need for the location. Best thing about this place is the proximity to the elephant seals (10 mins) and at sunset they light fire pits where you can sit and watch the sunset and meet fellow travellers and maybe...
