Our stay here was just great! From the walk to our room, to the fireplace, to the lovely roses down the walkway. It's a very clean, crisp, and magical feel, if you're looking to relax and unwind. We were in town for a concert but didn't want to leave the grounds. This place takes pride in their business and it...

The hotel is pleasant enough but our room did not match neither our expectations nor the descriptions: awfull smell (desinfectant?), too close to a street with heavy traffic. Parking lot very cramp when the hotel is full. Poor WiFi coverage in that part of the premises. Good location: two blocks from the top of downtown.

This hotel is really pleasant, consisting of an attractive, historic building, with many cottages and suites in the extensive gardens. Rooms and amenities of a high standard, and it is just off the main street which runs straight to the sea. We walked all the way down the street to the beach (a couple of miles) and got the 25cts...

Our stay here was fantastic! The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The wine and cheese and cookies and milk were very nice. They also have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water, and fruit available all the time. These extras really added another level of comfort beyond the plush bathrobes and Gilchrist and Soames bath products. This is an older historic...

It is sooo funny as we have showed up totally not book!!! My hubby had booked the hotel for the following week instead but we lucked out having someone that canceled their booking last minute..... it is a little different from most of the upscale hotels that I've stayed in before (or maybe it is in States) hence it is...

This is a quaint bed and breakfast type of place. If you're looking for plush and modern accommodations, this place is not for you. I would definitely choose a cottage to stay in rather than the main house. The rooms are on the small side, but clean and the beds are very comfortable. In general, pretty much anywhere you stay...

My two night stay at the Upham Hotel was most enjoyable. I was in room 42 in the Lotus Cottage building. The queen bed was comfortable with soft pillows. The bathroom was small but just right for one person. My room was at the edge of the property and quiet even with the window open. The A/C unit is pretty...

Our first visit at the Upham was terrific and our sincere thanks to Daniel Tolliver for making our stay a wonderful experience! Dan was absolutely fabulous and his attention to every detail of our stay was most enjoyable. He is also very knowledgeable about the incredible history of the Upham which made our visit extra special. Will be back soon!!!

While the location of this inn is great and the property was beautiful and serene, I was surprised that my room was so plain and small, considering I wasn't paying for the lowest category of rooms. Then there was the matter of waiting so long at least two mornings for them to replace the food when they ran out of...
