Booked a night here for my in-laws 45th anniversary so they could be alone and I was very impressed with their experience!!! The staff went out of their way to make them feel special, upgraded their room for the occasion, had champagne on ice, they were greeted with a "happy anniversary" from the front desk the waiters and even the...

My husband and I spent one night at the Upham during the SB film festival weekend. I was very pleased with the grounds and clean/quiet room. We enjoyed some wine out on the nice patio and lawn. It was also the perfect location to walk to the downtown area for a very nice dinner. The breakfast was just OK because...

The Inn was lovely overall as was the hospitality, offering a free light breakfast, wine and cheese from 4:30-7 and cookies and milk after that. My only complaint would be that the size and beauty of the room- at least our room, was a bit less than expected. Very clean yet slightly musty on our arrival - a little AC/heat...

Came to the upham for my 31st birthday with my best friend and had a wonderful stay. Conveniently located and perfect B&B feel. Wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Santa Barbara either for work or pleasure.

We booked this little hotel on advice from friends and what a great surprise. It wasn't nearly as expensive as comparable chains in the area but it was much warmer and comfortable. We highly recommend it.

Wonderful stay again! Oldest hotel in Santa Barbara with very comfortable rooms with private baths. Conveniently located near downtown area. Afternoon wine and cheese, evening cookies and milk. Coffee and hot tea always available. Beautifully landscaped grounds with lounging chairs to enjoy the sunshine and mild weather. Wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Santa Barbara either for work or pleasure.

We usually stay at the Upham, but decided to try their quaint property down the street. Just lovely...It's a bit more intimate than the Upham, with all the rooms enclosed inside the house. Maureen, the innkeeper is a busy, but highly engaging host, and boy can she cook! If you want a quiet getaway without children, this place is a...

The Upham had been in the past my go-to hotel for last minute stays in Santa Barabara (before El Encanto was shut down for renovations and reopened to accommodate that "1%" elite). The location is right downtown, but it's in the neighborhood as opposed to the main drag - State Street. I've always stayed in a cottage room (fireplace, patio)...

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Upham House. The main house oozes historical character with a pretty fireplace room and sun room downstairs, plus nice art and quaint bedrooms upstairs. The wine and cheese happy hour as well as the continental breakfast are great perks. The location off State Street allowed us to leave our car parked for...

Downtown Santa Barbara and State Street is a wonderful weekend get-away. The restaurants, shops and brewery pubs make for a fantastic weekend. And my favorite place to stay is the Upham. Close to everything t hat State Street has to offer, but just far enough out of the fray to justify walking a few extra blocks. This place is over...
