I stayed here for a weekend but was not happy about the 2 night min. they have. The only reason I had to stay for 2 nights is because my family was there for a wedding. I don't like to feel forced to stay somewhere. The hotel was remodeled and it's nice but it still feels old for the price...

My friend and I stayed here for four nights during the "Awakened World International Film Festival" which was wonderful! The hotel and staff made our adventure even more special. We appreciated the service of the people providing the parking valet service and the person attending to the continental breakfasts.

We stayed here on Oct 2014 in a Wheelchair accessible room, three of us. The location is great, building is historic and clearly shows it. Lobby and common areas are ok, but rooms are in dire need of a "face lift'. We were offered a roll-away bed to accomodate the 3rd person, for a charge of $10 / day. The...

When they refurbished the Hotel Santa Barbara property they didn’t try to go overboard – they simply did a very solid job of deep cleaning, painting, furnishing, making sure the beds and bedding were very comfortable with a well-appointed bathroom which is exactly what we sometimes want. There’s lots to be said for clean, comfortable functionality. The front desk, the...

Good location in the heart of Santa Barbara. Decent beds. The rest is old, not vintage. Staff couldn't care less and make you sign a "no noise" term which is ridiculous since the elevator makes so much noise during the night. Wifi didn't work well either. Never going back.

Remember being a kid and having a sleep over and your mom would knock and ask you to keep it down and check the beds to make sure everyone was asleep? That is what staying at the Hotel Santa Barbara is like. But it is not particularly cute or reasonable when are you an adult and don't need a lecture...

Laura - I'm sorry that you left with the impression that our staff didn't care. We really do. Our staff works hard to balance the concerns of all guests, and at times I guess we err on the side of ensuring that guests in surrounding rooms enjoy peace and quiet. Our website, confirmation letters and check-in paperwork try to set...

The hotel was nice but pricey (over $200 with tax and $10 parking). Breakfast was continental and was just OK. The hotel is right on the main drag and that was why we chose it. Our room was 206 - and was right next to the ice machine - which made it impossible to sleep until 9 pm when a...

Hotel Santa Barbara is located in the prime hub of State Street. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and to the water. A moderate mid-size hotel, Hotel Santa Barbara is great for any newbies to Santa Barbara. Parking is available in the back for a fee, the rooms are simple, clean, and hallways quiet and well-maintained. It's definitely not a fussy...

The hotel has a great location right by santa barbaras main street. Besides this there is nothing exciting about it. Noicy at night, no room service available, no mini bar and moreover missing staff in the front desk. Breakfast served on disposable wear. Not a 4 star hotel at all.

Spent the weekend here for a wedding along with friends. Nice accomodations. Room is a little tight but very nice none the less. Staff was extremely nice. Continental breakfast included. Right in the heart of State Street, not far from the beach.
