Visited over the holidays and really enjoyed the room and just hanging out on the grounds. This place is big and so well maintained. The landscaping is incredible. Loved room service in the morning once. But the restaurants have such great views and food.

Beautiful resort in a tranquil setting. View the mountains, the beach or both from your patio or balcony. All rooms seem to have wonderful views. A short walk to the wharf or downtown. Free airport shuttle. No car needed! Rented a bike and took a short ride to Montecito with beautiful views looking back toward the Santa Barbara coastline. We...

We loved "The Set" Bistro Lounge for ocean-view tables and a glass of wine. The staff there were wonderful. The rooms were very nice but some are a long way from the lobby and restaurants. We would have liked common lounging areas with ocean views other than the restaurants. But overall, it's a wonderful place to stay.

The hotel complex is pretty massive: a central, airy lobby with massive windows and several buildings named for various flowers with the actual rooms. The room we stayed in was fine--we didn't spent too much time there, since the hotel is only a couple blocks away from the beach, which is pretty much exactly what you want for a weekend...

Great hotel which was built at a time when you could make hotels large. Lobby is big. Hallways are big. Hotel is big. Service is friendly. Location is close to the harbor. They charge for parking. Breakfast is solid, albeit a bit expensive if you have to pay for it. Rooms are bit "long in the tooth" but respectable.

This DoubleTree is extremely expensive for the value. Rooms and average size, with dated bathrooms, llow water pressure and extremely poor/slow internet service. Glacial speed and spotty coverage. Only one expensive dinner restaurant onsite. Not worth the money.

My friends and I took a quick trip to Santa Barbara by train to from Carlsbad. Walks at the beautiful beaches and rides on the town shuttle for a quarter. Fess Parker resort was beautiful with friendly service. It has a car rental service that was handled by Raul. He was patient while explaining features of cars. We ended up...

Great location! Rooms are spacious. However, the rooms are VERY dark. Love the pool side service. Restaurant breakfast buffet is great and if you are a Hilton Honors Gold member, you get breakfast buffet free. A $25.00 value.

I was very surprised by not only how outdated this hotel is but also how some very basic repairs have been neglected. The hallways smell bad, the carpets are old and stained and the doors are nicked. However, it is really nice to be right across the street from the ocean where there is a great path to run, bike...
